Cost/Coverage with extended warranties
What companies are you guys using for the warranty and what are the basic details on price/length of warranty/what is covered.
I'm getting ready to call my local MB dealer and want to be informed before I hear their side of the story.
Thanks,
Chris
The problems that happen with the C230/C240/C320 also happen with the C32 maybe C55. Seat problems, electrics, suspension, audio, nav, bi-xenons.
The problems isolated to the C32 not apparent on the regular classes and C55 are glycol contamination, intercooler pump failure, and maybe supercharger related items.
Two stock NA 55 motors have quit acc to posts here. Another good reason to get ext warranty. The motors are $$$$$. The C55 has plenty of aftermarket warranty companies (Mercury) offering coverage. The C32 does not, (again Mercury wont insure this car but the C55).

My C55 just had the steering rack replaced, and then the power steering pump. Mercury has the extended warranty. No problem with the pump, but they insisted on getting a used or rebuilt rack sent to the dealer, which took about 2+ weeks. Last November they paid for replacing the oil lever sensor. So far I've been satisfied with Mercury.
They only quoted me $2400 platinum for 4 yrs/ up to 100k miles, $0 ded.
SEAT HEATER IS NOT COVERED since it's an integral part with the upholstery.
I've claimed around $1800 so far.. $600 to go.
