Excellent all-brass construction (non of that plastic crap), vibrant colors. Cost me an arm and a leg, but the car looks much better.

wow! that is ridiculous! formymercedes.com sells the same one, at least it looks the same, for $39.00. Check it out right here (at bottom of page):

The one on formymercedes is plastic.
I got it from 4-AMG on the forum. It is special ordered in Germany, or so he claims. But it is heavy and not cheap plastic. I figured I don't want to be like everybody else.

The question I have is how many people have the white star badge, the carlsson badge, the brabus badge, and this no-name $160 badge.

The emblem is extremely nice for a few months. The colors will fade and the layers will cracked. I was thinking in painting mine flat black since I'm not very happy with it.

At least 5 of us have Mario's badge (this no name badge) just in this room. There is a bunch of them in the W211 E55 section too.

If this thing fades/cracks, I'm going to have a word w/ Mario.

that's the only reason I didn't buy one back then...
I'll see what the Affalterbach goodie store has there, when I move to Stuttgart next spring.

2006 CLS55
whatisreal7,
I would love to have one of these emblems for my CLS55. I don't want a cheap plastic one. I tried to find 4-AMG but had no luck. Do you still have his contact info or any info on how to get one of these? Thanks.

Check post #7, his email is there - Mario Donati
I have no idea if he still has them in stock or even if he sells them anymore. I got a quote of $159 back in early 2008.

it's the sun exposure that causes the fading, hopefully he used good paint.

Nice badge. I looked at all the expensive options. I decided to get the cheaper one from on the forums, $160 was just way too much for me for a badge. Mine is a metal base with a plastic insert. I chose the black and white one to help avoid fading.
