Arrow ##urgent##brabus monoblock vi

been offered a set of genuine 19"brabus monoblock iv (just wheels)from the main merc dealer for 1500 uk pounds=around 3000 dollers..is it a good dealhow much do they cost around in america??the sizes are
8.5x19 front
9.5x19 rear
if i do decide to purchase it,was wondering what size tyres to fit on them
i am thinking 235-35-19fronts...265-30-19rears...any rubbing issues with 265 width tyres on the rear or shell i get 255 tyres for the rear,im running stock suspension...also i am planning to get toyo T1-R tyres, any good for the merc??
please respond to this thread cause they are only giving me one week to decide due to discounted price

mono IV multi-piece?

not sure about UK, but in US Brabus North America had a huge sale on those not long ago. The 18s or 19s went for like $1500 ish for a set of single piece.

I like the T1-R for being a very quiet ride tyre (lol), but I don't like how slow the turn in response is. For around the same price Hankook has the k104 or the S1. I like the k104 (which I have on mine) better than the T1-R.

The IV series is discontinued. I wouldnt pay more than $2k for a set now as the prices drop like flies. The problem is if you wreck a rim beyond repair you are out a whole set that can't be replaced. I found out the hard way with a 2 piece 18" set of IV series....

Also - 265 is too wide in the rear unless you roll the fenders. I wouldn't go wider than a 255 unless you work on the fenders.

your tire sizes look correct- but it ultimately depends on the final backspacing you end up with, including the spacers if you need them.

Then I would say its a pretty decent deal. Those retail for around $1,200 a piece, at least here in the states. If you were patient you could probably get a better deal but you aren't being taken to the cleaners by any means at that price. As long as there's nothing wrong with the rims I'd probably go for it.

I would say it's a bad deal. Like FrankW said, Brabus NA had a clearance a while ago on their discontinued wheels. The guys at TWS had quite a few of them back then for cheap. I think I even remember seeing a Lexus with the Mono IV at their shop. That was also about the same time I got my front and rear Brabus BBK.

I have the same size set of rims and tires but I also have HR sport springs to eliminate the big wheel well gap.
The springs dropped both ends and looked really great (really low!). Problem is when you have a full load of 4 total adult passengers! If you cross a slight dip, the rear fender will rub. BTW, my rear fenders have already been rolled prior.
Solution:
Replace stock rear shim spacers that go on top of the coil springs with the next thicker set. I think it has a three dot marker but I'm not sure. Even with a full load, it is very rare for the rear tires to rub the fender walls.
