I'd try a mild scratch remover from Meguiars or similar. I've even used clay to remove the fallout on my windows so my wipers work smoother.

My point is don't be afraid to use paint polishing materials on glass. They generally work really well.

Meguiars Clay-bar should do the trick. I Clay-bared my car a few weeks ago and it really helped with removing tiny water spots.

vinegar (aka acetic acid) is a weaker acid that will increase the solubility of the components in the hard water spot, thus making them easier to remove. however, acetic acid is not corrosive/strong enough to harm your window. just make sure after you use the vinegar and get the spot off to wash the area with a little bit of water to neutralize any of the remaining acid

+1, been using it for years to clean the home windows too!!! Nothing works like a mild acid to get those windows clean!! You can even buy it in a mix with Windex, although thats not too strong. I've tried the can stuff, Stoner, BUT its great for keeping clean glass clean. Once you get the windows clean, try some Glass Wax to keep em clean and make em easier to clean. Comes in a pink can. Works great in high acid-rain areas and also highway use.

Ok I tried vinegar, Aceton, methel ketone, Clay bar, polish(mothers) nothing work until I looked into Momma Duke's kitchen
She had a stove top clean polish that is for glass. Worked like wax. Man O man that stuff left the rear glass looking brand new. I also did my fog lights with it.
