Hey

As most of you have had your cars for a while now i just recently purchases a C55 2006 in white. NICE!

what do you guys recommend for immediate upgrades especially around performance. I was considering a BMW 335i before buying the MB and it seems like the Beamer runs and responds better.

share those HP increase secrets!!!

I wish there was secrets but that's not the case. As for mods depends how much you want to spend??

For starters I would do the following:

Headers
VRP E55 AirBox
AMS Crank Pulley
Finish it up with an ECU tune...

the only secrert is with these cars is how much money you got in the bank

with these mods above^^^ You are looking at around 330ish WHP so thats like 400+ at the crank (if that even counts) Remove the exhaust resonator you will love the killer sound. and thats a $50 mod at a exhaust shop. I'm personally happy with my set up but once you mod you wont stop.

Is that what the mb dealer told you?
335I is 3.0 tt?
that thing is mod ready and with a few adjustments you'll be flying with m5's.

i replaced my OEM airbox from a CLK430 with an E55 AMG Airbox. Does that also fit on the C55? are the tubes different? is this the airbox you refer to?

i read something about changing the pulleys and that the lag the car has on the pedal would decrease. how much is the pulley and where can i get it? where did you have your ECU tuned?

If you want to change "the lag the car has on the pedal" you can remedy this with a Sprintbooster. This does not add any HP but dramatically changes the pedal/throttle response. There are a lot of threads on this subject.

If you want places to buy some of these other things I would try:

http://www.vrptuning.com/

http://www.evosport.com/

http://www.letmotorsports.com/

Then, of course, there is Renntech and Kleemann but at much greater $$$

Absolutely true. I think the determining factor in making these cars fast is how far you actually want to go with the mods.
