What's your mpg city/hwy. Thanks.

I can't get above 23. Even hwy is 22.x I think I noticed this after adding the code3 intake- that's why I wondered if an earlier post with getting too much air could cause this? I will remove the code3 intake and see what happens. I am sure after I did the sc pulley, I was getting 27 mpg on the hwy.

More air needs more fuel to create more power. Right?
If you are traveling at 70+ mph, you are probably running right at or above the S/C clutch threshhold (it kicks in at 2900rpm or 40% load, whichever is first). This means you are running the S/C and sucking more air/fuel tooling down the highway.
By the way, my stock C32 has gotten over 23 mpg once.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I could get away with not yet needed the extra fuel- always some project to
work- aside from the house honey do list.
Time to look at the fuel and search the forum.

Even prior to the Code intake and LET tune, I routinely got 23-25 on Highway and once saw 26. I did this by staying OUT of the SC (which is hard to do). If you can run about 68 MPH, you should see 25 easily.

That adds up. I just haven't messed with the fuel. On another car (turbo) I own, I ended up doing complete ECU, fuel injectors, intake etc. I just thought

ECU tuning primarily addresses spark timing advance and fuel maps (among other things) - so if you have a modded ECU tune, you most definitely have 'messed' with the fuel.

Jerry told me that it IS somehow. How, I didn't ask. In addition, there is also the possibility of having a switch to totally turn off or disengage the SC. I really like that thought BUt do not know how it would affect longevity of the SC or the engine (sucking air??) I 've heard of someone in GA running a SC on/off switch getting about 30 MPG on theirs??

By the way, I don't know what you were thinking , I was referring to being able to keep the speed down to 68.

There is a free and easy way to do this. The problem is that you need to open your hood to disengage/engage the S/C. Jerry showed me where the control plug for the S/C was when I felt that my S/C clutch was acting up. By unpluging the wires leading into the electomagnetic clutch, you too, can have a wildly expensive C320, that performs more like a lawn tractor. I did not have the patience to find out what the mpg would be.

I know you were, all my numbers are in Warp speed as in 68 is 6.8. OK Picard???
