I did it TOO!!!!!

OK, we all went to US 41 in Indiana today (Saturday). Here's my 2004 C32 results!! Best of my career:

Flying Pig Car # 11

Reaction: .1079
60 FT: 1.9861
1/8 ET: 8.26
1/8 MPH: 86.58

1/4 ET 12.76
MPH: 109.22

Victor has had some big time CEL issues since he took that ASP off. We had to stop twice on the way over, so in fairness to him, his car was not running well. He's a good guy and I left a bit early for the 2.5 hour drive home. I don't know the resolution yet? Times were good, it was about 60-65 degrees BUT track very slick from heavy rains night before. On my second run I went slideways. I was running Michelin PS II's at 30 lbs rear as well. Drag radials would have helped immensely.

OH, that was before the parts too, so its stock except for Code III ,Jerry Tune and Code/Let III intake. Met Brandon of Code III, what a nice guy and very knowledgeable about the C32 as well. We are working it all out and the Pigs about to land soon and you'll be seeing Stevie Nicks again.

Nice job Glenn. Your mph gained on the send 1/8 is good too, so the car obviously was pulling well up top also.

As for Jake, I'm sure the damp track had a lot to do with his ET suffering.

Sorry to hear about Victor's CEL issue. My CEL came on today on the way home from the office. I'm wondering if the 100 octane has anything to do with it.

did running both intakes help? or was there no difference?

Interesting... I'm sure he'll chime in, but I'd also guess there's only so far a C32 will get on 19" street tires and no LSD... assuming he ran that way. If Jake lost ET but gained MPH, it might support the idea that he's got more than enough power for 11's, but not the corresponding traction "mods" that could be addressed. Then again, better track conditions/prep never hurts...

LOL! Love the thread name. If traction was an issue it always leaves you with a good case of the "what ifs." That is a stout 1/4 run. good job! It only seems like C32/55 guys just keep getting faster.

Thanks X, I appreciate all your encouragement. I wish i could have done more runs, BUT HQ was on my *ss once again. It was almost a 3 hour drive home with I-294 traffic (brutal).

Spring will be here soon and we can do it again. I just really need to get some traction here and only alternatives are a Quaife or / or drag radials. The car has low 12s in it for sure. With the new pulley wrap, it pulls amazingly strong from the digg, but in the afternoon, I was just getting sideways the whole way down. Best part is, this car has never thrown a CEL. BTW, for those who PM'd me, I ran 93 Pump Gas as I didn't have time to stop for 100 and the station wasn't open yet (Marathon).

Thanks Big J, I had to leave and thankfully I did, tons of 294 accidents or I'd still be driving. Police activity was crazy. Did you guys see the local cop run down the strip at 16.5?? It was a riot. About 11:45 AM, this local guy pulls up in a police Chevy (looked like Impala or Malibu) and did two runs?

Ya, I showed up right as he was running....it was pretty funny. I was like...wtf is goin on..

Yup, got my time up there last night as well. Next track event we will have you in the top 10. You need some drag tires...Nitto 555r's are quite nice and fit the stock rims well...

I can't believe I missed this thread I found it doing a search on tires But congrats Glenn I have to wait til I finally hit the 12s Now that the misfire is over I can resume next season...but be warned everyone that if you drag your car as little as I do well things like plugs, wires, coil packs, etc...will have a shorter life span.

Also using the wrong octane gas can help

This is 3 weeks old my friend. You 're the one who videoed my run, so I assumed (bad me) that you saw the time and the trap speed. I ran against George's twin turbo Vette and he ran a 11.32 at 126.71

Well using a regular camera to record digital video is no where in comparison to a decent digital video camcorder which I have and will bring from now on...so it was the run with the C6TT huh? Its hard to look at your time when I was concentrating on the C6TT(what a beast of a sleeper) if no one knew his boost was dialed in at lowest setting and it still moved to 126mph

I think he was totally boosted, Problem was, George had no traction. I had him by a lil over a car out of the chutes and then he reeled me in like a Tarpon taking a jig.

I spoke with him and he said they turned it all the way down...also one would expect then that on twin turbos
