Lots of people drag race their car on this forum including me and I have to say this is one of the best bits of driving i've ever seen. You may have seen this video but it happened at my local drag strip so i thought i would share it with you guys.

Yep. Some good driving, a lot of luck, and strong brakes on that Porsche.

The Porsche was doing maybe 70mph so he steps on the brakes and stops 150ft later, what's so special

Without a doubt, his lane discipline and remaining under control.

On a full, clean run, those Evolution Motorsports GT700's are high 10's in the mid 130's trap speed. 1/8 mi trap is about 107ish... or what a lot of modded C32's trap in the 1/4

for this run - the guy mentions letting off when he sees the Supra get loose, and then getting on the brakes once it started coming into his lane. So, who knows what kind of speed he started decellerating at - I for one was very impressed with both drivers' ability (and a bit of luck) - thanks for sharing hooleyboy
