SRS Light
My SRS light is on and its starting to annoy me a little. Is there anyone on here that can reflash my Module or reset it or does anyone here know someone that has done it or that can do it? I live in Chicago so I'll drive to you if i must as long as I am not driving more than like 100 miles and I will compensate somehow.
On ebay theres a guy that does it for like $40 but im not gonna send my module in.

were you playing with the seat module or something? For the srs to stay on it needs to read the fault...then star can clear it

///AMG4EVER, do you know of an independent shop that could do it?

There should be plenty of indy shops that work on European cars in the Chicago area. Most of them have the OEM equipment to work on our cars.
I'm in Houston and I went to Sunil (Motorwerks). I believe they (Motorwerks) also have a place in Chicago. Give them a call and see if they can do it for you. Sunil charged me $35.

My car had about 15 things replaced at the dealer before it hit 3k miles and another 15 before it hit 30k miles. Now its at 46k.

If you haven't had any issues with the charging system and nothing has been disconnected lately, you most likely have a real issue with the SRS system and resetting will not be sufficient. I had an overvoltage condition last year (and agian this year - save that for a whole other thread) and my SRS light came on. After the alternator was replaced, I had the SRS light reset by a local indie for $40 and all was good. I asked him what code came up and he said that all of the codes came up He verified it was probably just due to the overvoltage. Have you had any similar issues?

One
day,you have a question and are mad about 130bucks for diagnostics and the next day you have replaced the air bags?I am confused? Were the air bags deployed?Did you ever check the passenger seat occupancy sensor.Easy diy,if you pull the seat and r/r the unit. Why does this story bother me
Am I missing something?
To quote the op.
"No man I know what I need and that is to reset the airbag module"
You knew what you needed and ended up with new air bags,so it was pretty obvious you did not know what you needed
I don't like the dealers either ,but your arrogance is really showing up bright and clearly.
When you act like one "their customers like total dumbasses."That is how some dealers or anyone for that matter treats you.I am sure you have run into the problem elsewhere.
How much did the air bags cost you?

Now
the whole thing becomes very clear
If you did the install correctly there has got to be an indie shop in your area with the SDS.In my case a buddy that is a service tech and has his own shop on the side lets me use his old updated portable SDS.You need someone like that,or an indie shop that won't hit you.
Funny story when first read,I was thinking man this guy either had free air bags or someone sure installed them fast
A 6 pack of beer on a early sat. morning to the right tech, might do the trick. You need to get past the service advisor
You have a huge branch of mb club of america in your area.Google them and call the president of the club,he will tell you who has their own SDS.

SRS light reset
I have a 2002 C32 with 91k miles . I had a dead battery which gave me several trouble codes . I invested in a icarsoft MBII multi-system Diagnostic to for about $175 . I recently replaced my intercooler and the cars transmission was in limp mode . When I got the MBII , I cleared the codes and my tranny is fine . This morning I replaced the battery , srs was still on. I hooked up my MB II and cleared the light in minutes . Resetting those 2 situations payed for the scan tool . I highly recommend this device . It is Mercedes and Sprint specific .
