ecu removal, help please

ecu removal, help please
2005, c55
ive gotten the connectors off. very simple, easy.
for the life of me i can not remove the ecu. im holding onto it from the screw housing on the side. ive pulled up, left to right......
ive even tried using small metal rods to leverage it out, no use.
ive bust open a finger and bleeding from another one.
any tips?

ive been trying like hell. nothing seems to budge it.
not sure if a c55 has a different removal process, but its not budging. ive gone as far as using a small wrench with a slightly angled end to leverage it against the screw housing and against the black plastic molding case the ecu is in. not even a mm movement. it really feels like theres something holding it in, but i was assured by a ecu tuner/flasher that it should come out with some elbow grease.
anyone with a c55?
