Noisy supercharger-Options?

I have noticed my S/C is getting pretty noisy, I have recently changed the pulley bearing which was bad but the noise is still there in the supercharger. I have 80k+ on the car now and need to know what my options are. Besides trading it in

Same here. I have the C3 pulley and replaced the guide pulley (left of S/C)
but I still hear some noise. I think mine's the S/C clutch bearing.

I found a re-built one on eBay. I got if for such a great price, it was 1/3 the price of buying a new clutch assembly. I have it ready to go as my back-up.

The challenge here is to troubleshoot all possiblities before leading to requiring
a rebuilt. What's the life span of all the pulleys and pulley bearings.

How many internal bearings does the S/C have and which one/s to replace.
Is this a DIY project? Probably not.
I thought the S/C itself is quite a robust piece of MB engineering.
How often does a S/C clutch bearing fail? How would one know before total failure.

Obviously, if the S/C is a complete toast, a rebuilt is the only recourse other than selling the car.
How many C32 S/C rebuilds are out there? I know there are shops that will rebuild them completely.

Actually, it is a robust piece of Japanese engineering, not an MB design. I think several of the units out there are coming from the Crossfire world.

I had a rebuilt s/c put in my car about 6 months ago under warranty. The warranty company wouldn't cough up the cost for a new one.
So far, the rebuilt one has been rock solid.

I thought i seen SC rebuilds for a reasonable rate. Cant remember where but it was in a google search. I quess it just comes down to know much MB is going to charge you for the part(s). then how that compares to a rebuild cost. I swear I thought i seen a rebuild fee of $900 for an MB SC. I could be wrong though.

Replace the IHI supercharger with a Whipple. Somebody in Taiwan already did it on a C32.

NO Benz
I've been reading up on the C32 on this forum for quite some time not but never posted anything. I figured telling you about this company would be useful at this juncture.
http://www.psesuperchargers.com/

I heard about PSE superchargers through the Jaguar S-Type R community and have heard some good thing. They rebuild aftermarket and OEM superchargers from a good variety of companies. They also provide a warranty for their work and claim to use better than OEM seals and bearings in their rebuilds. Seems like a reasonable price too.

Wow. $1500 +$600 core charge for a re-built IHI/MB S/C but only $800 +$300 for the Jaguar/Aston Martin S/C.
