New Battery Drain problem? Overhead center panel

https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/...ml#post3181289

i'm having the same issue with my C32..

my center overhead control panel (lights and sunroof) made a sound like it was on and taking current even if the car was off.

I unplugged the brown center wire and the noise is gone and battery does not drain.

In the C32's, we had the same issue with the seat modules, but not the Overhead control panel.

The real test is when I don't turn on the car for a few days.. (usually the week-end)

so.. I'll see if this fixed the battery drain problem.

both of my seat modules are completed disconnected. Only the rear plugs are connected, but all the front plugs are out.

I had the same problem when I hooked up star and saw both the seat control modules and overhead were drawing current. I have unplugged the seat control modules and left the overhead and never had a problem.

Dealer said the overhead is a common problem as well.

well.. car battery died again..

therefore its not only the overhead panel..

I plugged the panel once more and i'm going to completely remove the seat control modules (front and back)

I can still hear the overhead control panel have a slight (buzz) sound even after a few mins of the car being OFF.

Next, I'll check my battery voltage.

My car dies after 24hrs...

still there..

I got a new battery and I have power after 1 night. But over a long weekend it won't last.

There is still a drian but I'm too lazy and don't have the money to really look into it.

I just disconnect the battery over a weekend and sometimes during the week.

I have been dealing with the TPS sensor like others and a few misfires.

I have bigger issues to fix. For now, the overhead still buzzes even after hours the car being off.

check your outside temperature sensor,if it indicates the max temperature,it must be faulty.
