Update Fog Lights?

For a 2002 C32 /////AMG, is there any way to put on the newer (03+) clearer looking fog lights? The 2002 model has the older looking fog lights, and after over 7 years, the lense is like a yellowish color now. So I was thinking of putting in new ones, so why not put the 2003+ looking ones?

Problem is, wherever I do find the fog lights on sale online, it says you can't use them if you have the /////AMG / sports package.

Like these for example:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_Car-...1%7C240%3A1318

Will they still work or no? Has anyone ever tried to update the look of their fog lights? Are fog lights different on /////AMG models as opposed to standard Mercedes-Benz? What's the difference between fog lights on 2002 C320 without a sports package to a 2002 C32 /////AMG?
If not, is there another website that sells 2003+ fog lights that will fit on a 2002 model WITH the /////AMG bumper, since it is an /////AMG?
I'm confused. I thought it should work. Just like headlights and tailights do. And it's not just the C class, it's for other models too. If they can fit, please let me know.
Thanks.

There are a few threads with links and pictures on here showing which fogs work and a DIY install. Try a search of the forums or look in the stickied thread for "The one stop search..."

Speaking of better bulb yes you can but the dull lens cover will make it worthless unless you have clear lense on your fogs now....I will say its a little bit of work with the bumper attached.

fog lights use 9006 bulbs. You can always go HID like I did with them. I'm pretty happy with the results.

FYI, unlike headlights, fog lights aren't critical so I just threw in a cheapo HID kit.

Here are the ones on your car now:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/01-04...Q5fAccessories

I don't see a set of the clear ones on ebay.

You can go to www.parts.com and lookup a 2006 C230. Then go to Front lamps -> Fog lamps -> Fog lamp assy -> w/amg package

looks like they are $141.65 each.

Thanks a lot. Are these parts OEM or aftermarket? And will 2006 ones fit the 2002 C32 bumper? Have any changes in size been made since 2002 to the bumper for the fit, or are they the same bolts?

If you dont want to do HID for your fogs
you can use the PIAA 9006 bulbs which is what you see here

and also here

They are not HID and came with the car when i bought them

Just a heads up on parts.com, a few of us have ordered from there and their parts are not as advertised and their customer service is lacking at best. Their prices aren't that spectacular either when you read all of the fine print.

Those fogs look great moose!! I know what I'm getting ready to go buy...

I just looked and a have a new set of 9006 80w "Ice white" bulbs as well as a set of 9005 100w bulbs in the garage for another vehicle. I just put the 80w bulbs in and it looks nearly the same as the stock bulbs. Can we put the 9005 100w bulbs in w/o frying something? The connections look the same.
Moose, are those 8000k bulbs to get that blue tint?

The base on the 9005 bulb has different notches. You have to cut 1 off I think but it will fit.

If it's a true 100w bulb, that's a pretty big step up. Not sure if I'd cram those in a small housing like the fog lights.

Jeez, at that price I would just get a cheap HID kit. The 9005s say on the bulb its 100w but I find that hard to believe. Most likely its "equal" to a standard 100w bulb. Just looked and the plugs are a different width between the 9005 and 9006....go figure.lol

same can be said of aftermarket halogens too. I've had multiple PIAA's burn out on me.

Had a set of Fet Catz Galaxy white 9006's last a very long time though. Just the luck of the draw.
