Well, the ASP + Code3 pulley setup is on hold for now. Apparently, there is not enough fuel available with the stock fuel system. I know Code3 and LET have been doing R&D with stacked pulleys to some degree of success. Once they get the tuning dialed in, I will most likely continue on that path. For now, I have gone back to running the ASP 178mm ONLY. I took it back to the track today and was pretty damn happy with my results.

ASP 178mm pulley
K&N's w/ Code3 intake mod.
Code3 Heat exchanger
Code3 Intercooler core
Meziere circulation pump
Moroso reservoir
H.F. Cats
Trunk mounted battery
L.E.T. tuned (older tune still mapped for 22psi+ of boost for stacked pulley setup)
245/40-17 Firestone Fusion ZRi tires (25psi)

Location: Atco Raceway, NJ
Temp: 35*F

Best run results:

MPH - 87.42

The car is actually faster with only the ASP since there are no fueling issues. I need to have Jerry re-flash my ECU with the newer version of the LET tune. Currently, the tune isn't even suited to my mods, since it was originally done with an additional 4 pounds of boost in mind.

Wow great run!!! An ECU tune and I think you'll put loungn's 12.3 in serious jeopardy. Crazy with no spray either!

Good time! But your 1/4 trap seems a little weak for 35 degrees. I want to go back when its 40degrees or so.

That's where I feel the tuning is probably missing out. I'm only running about 18.5 psi vs. the 22.5 psi I was running and tuned for w/ the stacked pulley setup before. This means there is room for a lot more timing and a lot less fuel. I am also still running a .032" plug gap, and I'm sure that can be opened up a bit since I'm back to lower boost.

In my mind, i always thought with a lower pulley plus the C3pulley plus a tune will get C class in to a 12 flat or high 11's. Nevertheless, Good pass! like all other positive comments.

I'm no longer running both upper and lower pulleys. This run was with ASP only. Because of fueling issues, I removed the Code3 pulley and actually went faster.

ASP 178 is king, and no others can produce the same results. They have tried. Nice times. My DA guessing at ATCO with 35 degrees temps is like -500 sea level? I would love to run there and easily knock 3 tenths off my best times.

The 185 and 191 are putting out better numbers for what its worth..

I guess I should have elaborated more referring to the best times and overall reliability and consistency. I can run 25 passes back to back and not have any issues with heat or boost or fuel etc.. I would have to say that 3 hotlaps in 110 degrees would equal 10 or more in that cool east coast temps. Now MD with his 181 has had no problems, but he will tell you himself that his 178 put up the same numbers. I have no cooling mods whatsoever, and I am in the extreme heat 4 months out of the year. My car runs all year long at the track.

While a bit counterintuitive, the 178mm crank pulley set-ups do seem capable of laying down 1/4 mi times every bit as good (in some cases better) than the larger pulley variants

Fongflex's 12.388 is several years old and yet is still the "all-motor" C32 record - which was accomplished with a Renntech (i.e. 178mm) pulley and tune AFAIK. Eleventeen's 12.472 on a 178mm crank pulley is only a whisker slower than Loungn14's 12.430 from a 185mm crank pulley (non-nitrous, I think?), and is FASTER than Jerry's old car's best time of 12.490 (boat-load of mods, 185 or 192mm crank pulley, and nitrous).

It would be interesting to have a thread with a list of the best drag results, broken into categories like "overall" - "all-motor" - "stock" etc. (like what was created on the w211 AMG forum). The sticky we already have gets bogged down with conversations, hampering it's usefulness.

Oh yeah - Eleventeen - since I didn't already say it, congrats!!! That is a monster run by anyone's measure - to have done it on street tires, without optimized tuning/plugs/etc, is phenomenal - nice work indeed.

mine was all motor, non nos on 19" streets. Jerrys was with the 192 w/nos. Funny thing is you start playing seriously after a 12.4 (drags nos etc) and the prices quadruples.

Thank you everyone, and yes, now that you brought it up; why are you running that much alloy on the track You need to pop on the OEM's and make some passes so we can see that sucker go! I bet you'd drop at least 2 tenths unless they are super light or something; your trap speeds are nice

Great run!!! Nice DAs too!! AFAIK, thats a great run on all motor. Fong's was all motor and I think Jake's was too (with cryo??). I ran a 12.7/110 all motor with ONLY a a Jerry Tune, a Code III intake and a Code III pulley on stock Michelin PS II's at 30 PSI, so there is some credence to the argument that all we need is the pulley (one) and a nice tune to get the C32 into mid 12s. I really don't see the advantage of going with stacked and then dealing with CEL and fuel issues.

Na, I am going to run the stockies next time with some nittos. Strange thing is, I swapped rims with jerry's 18" monolights, but could not hook up at all. We assumed the added weight helped the hookup.

And superlight...not so much....monoblock reps are extremely heavy.

Some of you guys are still making a lot more power than me I am still only trapping 110 MPH, so I think my good times are in the short track. I was consistently cutting 1.8xx 60' times on Saturday with a 1.80 my very first run and a 1.81 on my fastest run. The funny thing is, my fastest run was my last run. I made 25 runs on Saturday (only about a dozen cars there) and almost all were 12.5xx, then I finally hit the 12.47 after literally 45 minutes of hot lapping. Not sure if the consistent power is due to the 35*F temps or the fact that my ENTIRE intercooling system has been upgraded.

110 traps are as good as it gets for a non-nitrous C32 1/4 mi run, AFAIK - the one exception being FongFlex's amazing anomaly; the other 1/4 mi runs on dragtimes with traps in the mid "1-teens" are running nitrous wet-shots IIRC.

Wow great single pulley run! I believe Fongflex did traps as high as 113mph on his Renntech 178 and monolites. Fabulous number! By the way all when loungn14 did his 12.4 run it was with 185mm and Jerry Tune only and on those heavy 19s he has. To show what loungn14 means by more power more money well he installed NOS, Cyro, LET Intake and 1 or 2 more things to lower himself to the 12.3s if my memory serves me right. Eleventeen you need imho bigger ingectors and retune to deal with the fuel issues of stacked pulleys. Great run!
