Another new C55 owner
Hey Guys,
Looks like you guys got a nice forum going here. Brand new owner of a 06 c55. I'm coming off of a pretty modded 03 cobra. Didn't think any car i got into would be even close as much fun as that car was. I have to say the test drive for the c55 really surprised the hell out of me. Sold me on it that very instance.
I was in the middle of shopping for a daily driver when I had the cobra. Sadly it was totaled, and I saw this as a chance to go in a diff direction. I will do another 03 cobra at some point, but this car is stout.

Welcome. Are people getting good deals on c55's seems a bunch of them are popping up. Regardless of the price C55's maybe going for they are a killer car. congrats you will love it (most of the time)

Welcome to you both and enjoy your C55, which is, IMHO, a fantastic car. With reasonable mods there will be no reason to get a C63 or better for another three years. After test driving the C63 and the CLK63 BS at the AMG challenge, the C63 does not seem to offer enough more than the C55 to warrant a purchase. The CLK63 BS, however, should be purchased when ever possible!!!

Wow, lots of new faces lately. Early Christmas present for people or screaming deals before the new year? The depreciation on AMGs is killer.

Thanks Mike, I still have the Nos kit. The worst part of all this is that I was only able to remove the airbox and wheels. Some lucky person is going to get a C55 with cams, ecu tune, Quaife rear end, klemann headers with full exhuast, and the Clk63 brake kit. Wow now I am in pain after all this.

lol...its a sedan that alot of others sedans can't beat..I think OEM HP is ample til you are used to it then I agree it can use more but if you just bought it and feel that way already sorry my friend but you need a higher HP 2 door unless you need 4 doors so an E55 will do the charm
You're spot on... I like the size of the C55. Another 100 HP would be good but another 100 HP in any car would be good!
I just don't want to get into cams etc...
