Are you sure it's the motor?
Maybe it's the dreaded 'Tranny Jerk'

Sounds like you're transmission is going to be full of coolant. Drain a bit out and if it's cloudly/milky then it has coolant, otherwise get what you drain off tested to check if there's coolant in it.

Try and approach the dealer for assistance from MB, they may pay for some of the repair. If not get back to us for cheaper solutions.

Very very very common issue on our cars. You will find a million topics on this if you do a search for "jerk" or "1500 rpm".

sprint booster will just increase your throttle response.

tranny jerk only happens to me when my car is cold other than that it doesn't happen to me often.

you do a search on it and you'll find the answers

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
Shifts are delayed

on cold start to allow for faster closed loop operation of the emissions system. That does not sound like your issue if it is happening in all gears while warmed up.
VALEO RADIATOR per above post, check your 2002 C32 and see if that brand faulty radiator is installed and if it is get Ye to the shop and hope it is not to late for the 722.6

It could be the cold weather. However if the valeo radiator is in the car, caution rules the day

OhLord was referring to the 722.6 transmission - that's what we have in the C32 AMG.

He was saying that you should change your radiator (if it's the faulty one) before your 722.6 transmission dies!

In many '02 C32's, we had a problem with 'Valeo' radiators - you should be able to find the Valeo sticker on the radiator with some searching and a flashlight.

Newer Valeos seem to be ok; however, many have not bothered with them and switched to a 'Behr' radiator instead.

There are a plethora of threads on the transmission contamination with glycol due to the faulty/leaky Valeo radiators - do a quick search and you'll get up to speed on the problem.

Always nice to see the end result of people in the forums being so helpful to the non-regulars of the forum. Glad to hear all is well.
