C55 exhaust Finished (Video)
Here is my first ever video of my car.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jv2DnCoUwZE
Primary cats to an X-pipe - then two custom resonators made from magnaflow housings. We cut out some of the internals. Then out the back retaining the stock AMG tips using a custom made Y.
I will get some better videos this coming weekend at the track (road course) and other random places. Those will be pro shot so the sound and video will be much better.
Let me know what you think...
I had the TC on so it messed up my initial roll a bit.

Yes it seemed many people kept the stock AMG mufflers. I tried them in the beginning and just did not like the tone after 4K RPM.
This has a very deep tone, my drone is below 1500 so I have no drivability issues.
I will hope to have a better video up soon. I had a lot of outside noise on that one.
I will say welding the custom Y to keep the AMG tips was a slow process. I had done the step about 5 months ago. It took me about 3 hours to get them the way I wanted. If anyone else considers doing this. Make sure you place two little tack bars (mini x brace) to keep the tips at the factory alignment.
I really like having true duals. I think the sound is much better and the performance as you know "hooleyboy" is much better with some very simple modifications.

[QUOTE=chitownwhiteC55;3269765]Sounds good. I have the exhaust done as well true duals from the secondarys back to the stock AMG mufflers but I think I'm going to replace the stock mufflers with some supersprint mufflers, I think there's a few pony's left on the table.
I saw that the Stock mufflers inlet is a bit of a bottleneck. What u guys think? Good idea or bad? Do u guys think I'll pick up a couplle of hp?
Plus I don't think it's loud enough the way i have it now LOL... I must be crazy right... I've always had loud cars and this is def the quietest.

sounds nice! I disconnected my stock mufflers and drove around the block a couple weeks ago - just to see how loud it was. basically it went from a "2" to "3" in volume. barely noticed a change. I really need to open this thing up!
