NOOB Tire Question

Hi guys, I just purchased my C55 about 4 weeks ago and its in need of some new rear tires. Well I came across one of my buddies who happens to be selling a set of 2 tires that will fit an 18" rim but I dont know if they will fit correctly or rub.

The tires in question are Yokohama ES100 245/45zr18

Any definitive help would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

What size are the current tires? 45series on 18" wheels seems kind of large (tall) for a C55. And the Yoko ES100s are not great tires (they get noisy and slick). I wouldn't pay more than $30 each (if they're new).

Hate to disagree my friend, but on my 01 stang with ES100's were beter than my BMW's M Roadster's MIchelin Pilots, atleast on handling. They DO get noisy, but I think they are one of the better cheap tires out there. Heck, I even ran them at Beaverun. I would go as high as $50, if they have 2/3 or more tread left.

See yeah

PS: I have posted this MANY times under the title, friends don't let friends buy Michelins

Well thats what my question is if they are too tall. I currently have 245/35/18 Pzeros on it.

I am getting a deal on these around 100 bux for two with 90% tread left if i go with these. I just dont want to have rubbing issues or a tire that doesn't "look right".

Stay away from those ES100s

45s are too tall anyway.

I had them on the C32 and they got hard like hockey pucks. They would spin, make smoke, and not even squeal. They just made a "shhhhh" sound. There are much better cheap tires out there (Kumho, Hankook, Dunlops).

Also look into Nexens. For everyday driving it can't be beat!
