Bone stock dyno results [c32]
I'm getting ready to throw on some performance goodies. I figured before I did that I'd go ahead and get a baseline dyno run on the car. Stock everything (filters, HE, etc.). Car has 62,700 miles right now.
Run1: 286.17HP, 286.68TQ, 60.96 deg F., 28.48 in-Hg, 19% Humidity
Run2: 296.04HP, 288.87TQ, 61.59 deg F., 28.49 in-Hg, 19% Humidity
Run3: 296.70HP, 289.05TQ, 60.07 deg F., 28.49 in-Hg, 18% Humidity
All runs were performed back to back at BATLGROUND in Smyrna, GA on their 4wd Dynojet. (It's in the metro Atlanta area).
So, I'll be doing the following and then getting a redyno and posting results:
LET 185mm Pulley Install
- Sitting in a box ready to be installed this Saturday.
LET 185 Race Tune
- Paid for and just have to visit the tuner for the flash
K&N or Green filters
- Going to order this week. Guess it doesn't matter what?
Maybe a Code 3 filter. Maybe. (anybody wanting to sell one??)
Have a good night!![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

(p.s. - sorry the pic is crappy. having scanner issues...)

Don't waste your time with drop in filters on your stock air cleaner assy. I'm not 100% sure that they'll fit(but should) but if you're going with big pulley setup you should install either complete SL55 intake or Needswings............you'll pick up a healthy amount of power.

if you do filters, do K&Ns......Greens for some reason sometimes fall apart or break into pieces in the boxes....not good IMO

The SL55 intake setup does fit. I have the full setup (air boxes, hoses, and splitter. it requires some modification to fit the car and the cover wont fit. you can get an SL55 cover but it will also need some modification to fit.
the needswings intake does not currently fit on the C32. however, rumor has it that there may be one in the works....

They have a Dynjoet 4wd chassis dyno. It's model 424x-4wd.
Tried to dyno my friends Jeep SRT-8 while we were there but couldn't get the traction control / ABS to cooperate. He'll be going next time to get a dyno run on it.![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Moparrbust, Jturkel - Thanks for the comments on the filters. I'll give it a second thought... The SL55 setup is pricey though isn't it?

I got the complete SL55 setup from my local M-B dealer(at their cost) for $259 and then threw K&N drop in filters in that setup. With just that mod my Crossfire ran a 12.85@109 which seemed like a good investment.
Maybe you could buy a used setup off of one of the SL guys and save big. my .02

They're mainly an import shop. I asked if they'd ever had a C32 there before but they hadn't...nor had they ever had 'any' mercedes there before, hehe. Seem like nice guys though. I'll be returning there for my "after" results.

2002 C32 1987 190E 2.3 334K miles and going
Those are nice HP and TQ numbers.
I did 281 WHP on a Mustang dyno with mods.![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
After you do the tune, intake and pulley, you would have created an awesome beast!

You're going to love it. I just picked mine up today after getting the 185 installed along with a new Johnson pump, tune, and Denso plugs. It's a whole new beast now.
