Supercharger is getting noisy!
I thinks its about time to take action on the supercharger, I think the most cost effective means would be to find a low mileage used supercharger. If there are any members here sitting on an extra one and would like to part with it PM me.

I am around 90k. I replaced the S/C pulley bearing last year as well as the idler. I did the old srewdriver to the ear trick on the front of the supercharger and its making some pretty good noise in there. And those who are wondering what the hell I am talking about its when you take the handle end of the screwdriver and place to to your ear while the other end is on the component. Poorman's steathascope:-)

Keep checking ebay. I found a (supposedly) re-built 2002 S/C there for an insanely low price. My S/C clutch is acting up so I have my replacement ready to go.
Good luck.

2002 C32 1987 190E 2.3 334K miles and going
Troubleshooting by process of elimination.
It could not be the S/C because I just had the Code3 installed.
Next, replace the $80.00 Guide Pulley (to the left of the S/C).
Noise still there.
Next, replace the $90.00 Idler Pulley (below the Idler pully).
Noise GONE!
P.S. not sure of the terminology here idler vs. guide but i know the location.

Mine is staying put for now but, if you could find a way to reach Erick (screen name 1FASTC32), he had mentioned some time ago that he had an extra S/C. Now that he has sold his share of LET to Jerry, I think he is out of the C32 world. See if he has an email to reach him at.

Ok then, I have replaced 5 and 6 about six months ago and 4 is a pulley that came with the Renntech goodies. I am for sure that it is my supercharger that is making the noise. I will hit up Erick and see if he has a supercharger laying around. Thanks guys for all your help.

) and listened to each pulley. You should hear a grinding noise if its going bad.

Looking at your list of upgrades, I do not see "Idler Pulley" listed, so you might want to give it a listen to see if you are looking at a possible failure of the bearing.

SC for sale
That SC for sale on craigslist sold within about a day of the posting. However, our cars use the same SC as a Chrysler Crossfire SRT6 so spares should hit the salvage dealers from time to time.
