How can I measure IAT's on Mercs? I was able to measure IAT's on Audi using VAG-COM software that I downloaded and usb OBD-II. Is theyre a simaler scan tool software I can download that will work with MB's. I am trying to make custom intake I would like to see if I can lower my IAT's on my CLK to show me if my intake is worthless or not.

You can get any number of scan-tools, just make sure they are CAN-capable for the live data viewing.

Ebay should be able to provide you one for well under a hundy.

I installed an autometer digital IAT sensor into the intake manifolds TB opening. It reads instant or works awesome for tuning monitoring performance.

....does the older M113 motors have an IAT sensor that can be easily read through a dianostic tool? That would have made my life easier...although with the gauge I can get readings all the time without having to keep a scanner in my lap.

I guess I will call the parts department play dumb and ask about a new IAT senso if his reaction is wtf?? I know It will be harder to design my intake.

Davis Carchip Pro - under a hundred bucks, about the size of a matchbox car, plugs into the OBDII port and datalogs several parameters (speed is fixed, you can choose a few others from among many options). At the end of your trip, you unhook it, plug it into your computer via USB, and download all the data; you get pretty nice graphs of it all - it's how I track my IAT's.

I am guessing it can but just ask in case Can it also measure other stuffs such as AF ratio etc?
