what do C32 owners think about motor swap

What do you guys think about swaping a 2jz v6 twin turbo 6spd or Rb26det twin turbo 6spd motor in to our C32's? I'm planning to keep the car and want to do something with it. Just want some 32 owners input and thoughts. Am i just crazy out of my mind

well... it would be cool...... My very close friend and I are really into cars. He as an Ballin IS300 (Pretty much same N/A Supra Motor... Minus the VVT) so I could do some measurements.... see it would even fit.... One of the big issues with this would be the ecu... as it control yours seats.....a/c...pretty much everything on your car. Transmission would be another...

I think a forum member did a 2jz on a 190(first C-class pretty much) which is pretty nuts... then again not everything is depending on the ecu for an older car

Yeah i seem 2jz motor swap done in IS300 down in LA, Anways, if i do the swap, i would swap out the heavy motor seats for racing seats. I will use the ecu comes with the swap elimnates all stupid battery drain problems, i done my own swaps on Hondas before and i know shops who can help me with custom work with the tranny fitting. Anwyaz, just thought i put this topic out there for ppl who plan to do this in the future.

Cool video to bad I am clueless to what they are saying

Anyways why not get a cheaper IS300 and twin turbo it instead? Our cars are better moding it the usual way..I think.

2jz-gte is an inline-six foolio! lol

remember to add NAS!

serious note: if anyone's still reading after seeing the above pic. it's not worth it and it might not even fit as the inline-six requires a much longer front end or a firewall design like that of the BMW's.

I don't think it's a good idea. $$$ is just not worth it. Japanese engine with German over-engineering is just not a good combination.

+444

Also, much easier to mate trans, do tuning, and still maintain all conventional functions (AC, stereo, power seats, SPEEDOMETER)

do the turbo conversion so other c32 owners can benefit....

If you really want to do a engine swap, why not a LS engine. You have a higher chance of fitting a LS engine then a 2jz.

yea, I saw it. The 124 and w210 even the 202 were designed with inline-six in mind. MB didn't replace the inline-sixes till 97-98, so it's a lot easier dumping an inline-six into the 124, 210, or the 202.

it's not a 500E. It's converted to look like the 500E.

plus since your in cali, a 2jz would be illegal since c32's started in 02 and the last supra in the us was made in 98. You can't put a older engine in a newer car.

simple. just get the 2jz-GE from the IS300 from 2003-2004, change the crankshaft and add turbos.

you would need to swap out the heads too..since the supra head and the is300 heads are different.

I still vote turbo conversion.

The 2jz is a cast iron block with a cast iron head. It would destroy the handling and possible require a suspension upgrade.

2jz - over 700lb with transmission

C32 - around 550lb with transmission
