To get this project done I may need a new SC because that whole intake setup is one piece.

You definitely need to contact the seller and at a minimum get a discount if it can be made to work. It if can't work at all, demand full refund and get another one.
Seems you had a premonition by asking how to tell if a SC is bad in your other thread...
We also noticed a small crack in the port of the intake manifold that is not to bad but will require a TIG weld. Its looking like I dodged a few bullets for now. Lets just hope no more bad stuff comes about. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
This thing was deffenetly damaged durring shipping, so its making for a few headaches.
Here is a pic of the bent part were were able to bet within a about a millimeter of spec.
That thing needs to be machined down. 1mm isn't much- but when it's a gasket surface on an engine, it's a ton. You can't hardly even see the flaws in a cylinder head, but they are still machined smooth in a lot of rebuilds. You can clearly see it isn't straight in this case. Me, personally, I wouldn't trust that on my engine- especially since the repair costs aren't quite like a small block chevy engine. What happens when that leaks and the engine goes lean......
I don't know a ton about these SC's, but damage like that, had to be from a pretty good impact. Any chance it could be damaged on the inside from the hit? Bearings or something of the sort?
