Nitrod VPM-100G versus PLX DM-200 OBDII
sorry for the new gauge thread, BUT i decided to go the OBDII route....i have narrowed it down to these two:
Nitrod VPM-100G
Link: http://www.nitrod.com/product.html
and
PLX DM-200 OBD II (would also need the $12 pod)
Link: http://www.plxdevices.com/products/dm200obd/
What do you guys think? Please take price into consideration as well as the features of the gauge. I am very interested in primarily monitoring boost, wideband (A/F), fuel pressure (especially now that I may have a bad pump). Performance measurements I would just do at the track.
From what I have read, boost is read from the MAP sensor. And A/F would be read from the O2 wideband. Does the C32 have O2 wideband sensors?
Thanks in advance

are you/we sure both of these can read the MB ECU? i know next to nothing about ECU's in general (i know their function and how they work, just not the specifics), even less about the ECU/electronics in MB. just something to possibly consider.

It works on the 335. It's part of the Vishnu package http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=182921
I think I'll be getting one of these this spring.

I have the DM-200 ODBII. I connected it to check and see if it works, and it does. The first one I got from PLX did not work and was DOA, so I had to exchange it. I took out the A pillars and am having it remade for the gauge housing and having it CF overlayed. When my pillar pod is done I am going to install it and make a pass through harness for the ODBII port.

the ECU. Most vehicle manufacturers do not supply this information in the OBD II. As more include this information, we will be adding this to our OBD
II parameters (we have our R&D working on it as we speak)"
For some reason, I thought our MAP sensor supplies this information, no?
PSHEK, do you have the SM-AFR and SM-V/B?

It displays MAP through ODBII. You need the extra module and sensor to display AFR. The reason why I picked the DM-200 over all the other choices is because it fits in a gauge pod, whereas the other ones look like GPS tom toms sitting on the dash which looks clunky.
