I ordered a 9006 bulb for the fog light HID...well it was wrong, too long. Is it supposed to be H4? The manual says HB4, I searched and found 9006 on the forum, hence why I ordered it, the actual bulb says HB4, but when I Google a picture of it, it shows as 'L' shaped.

What HID bulb should I order for my 2006 C55 fog light??!!

I thought it was a standard H7 bulb. That's what I have in my C55.

Hmmm...I took a picture of both bulbs, I'll upload them when I get home tonight.

I though H7 is for non bixenon mainbeam, that is what I used for HID in my 05 c230 non bixenon.

Has anyone run into issues with the HID kit bulb being too long to fit in the fog light housing?

H7 is correct. I bought an HID kit for my 05 C55 and it works just fine.

Thanks for all the replies guys... so no one who bought an H7 bulb had length issues? My H7 looks like it will be too long to fit in the lense of the fog light. Do you think they switched it for the 06's, as I see all the responses are from 05's. I'm 99.9% sure my fogs are stock as they are marked HELLA and AMG all over. When it warms up again here I'm going to test it out again with the H7s...

the fog lights in a C55 use H7. C55 is the only one that use it cause the fog lights are different from all the other ones. If your headlights are non HID's then that would be H7 too. All the other W203's use 9006 for the Fog's
