Hello Hooley,

Congratulations! After all our dyno testing on DD dynos we have come up with the most accurate estimate of 22% drivetrain losses for DD dynos on AMGs and that has been very accurate estimate within a few HP (based on triangulating results with identical conditions on a dynojet dyno, which are usually closer to 18%). That puts your numbers at roughly 575HP and 669 torque.

There is no torque spike (a torque spike would be much sharper and more violent), those are real torque numbers, E55K dyno looks identical in shape on DD dynos (remember the shape of the dynos is different than dyno jet b/c it more accurately measures power under load instead of just some free spinning 5000lb drum).

Those are very healthy numbers! I just have no idea how the heck you get any of that power to the ground .

Wow. I normally don't post much regarding the pursuit of more HP/torque and drag racing, but I have to congratulate you hooley. Been following your progress and I'm really happy for you. Those are awesome dyno numbers for a C55. In fact, is there any other W203 C-class with such numbers??

Good for you and I look forward to you representing us W203 C-AMG cars at the drag strip (and hopefully take some glory away from those "other" 55 AMG's.....)

Yes I will be drag racing, but its going to see road racing too. As you know the C55 just about the best handling of the 55's. I dont like a one trick pony so its got to be good on the road course too. The car is about 100lbs heavier in the front so I'm getting some springs this week to tide me over until i can aford to bet some coilovers.

Thanks guys, I put alot of money and hours into this car lots of long nights at the shop helping out with the build. I have to say I dont think this transmissions knows what to do with all this torque. Its going back to the Shop tomorrow for a little blip in the trans that we know about, nothing over night though.

You may want to get the tirerack fender roller too and roll & flare out your fenders as much as you can (normally you can get an additional 1" of clearance on top of a normal roll if you actually flare them out a bit too, this can be done without cracking the paint as long as you take your time and heat up the paint alittle bit). Run the widest sticky rubber you can fit (some Direzza Z1s would be a good choice). 275-285s would at least help as well as reducing your rear camber as close to zero camber as possible (although this will not cure your traction problems, it will certainly help to some extent). LSD at this point is a must unless you intend on entering (and winning) 1-wheel burnout contests

Good to know you'll be taking your beast to the track (a twisty one). That supercharger upfront will worsen the weight distribution, which means it will likely understeer more compared to stock. Wider rubber upfront and adjustable coilovers should help with that.

But what I would worry about more is traction and getting down power coming out of turns. With so much more torque, it may be challenge to optimize your corner exit speeds without a mechanical LSD. You will have to be gentle with that throttle, as I suspect your huge power increase will easily overwhelm the pseudo electronic LSD system in our C55's.

But what the hell.......you're going to have a blast anywhere you take that car!! Congrats again.

What I find strange about my car is I can do two wheel burnouts/brake stands like the best of them. Along with two wheel donuts, two wheel strips at 40mph (just did it.) I never spin one wheel, Ive always been able to do two wheel burn outs. IDK?

Thumbs up

Great numbers!

I was about to shut PC down and go to sleep but I felt drawn to visit MBworld before I do and I have a feeling it was to read this

Congrats Hooley for reaching your goal thru this project At this point get great DRs not lessor and practice, practice, practice your launch techniques. Its going to be a major PITA til you are used to it to launch that beast now...take tips from the E55 guys actually go and read/study the how to Drag race thread by ChicagoX on the W211 forum. Don't be dissappointed if you get bad passes thats what practice is for...I recommend adding a Quaife LSD with the New DRs you get. Man I would love to feel the power of your beast! Big brakes down the road also. I can't wait to see your results at the drag strip. BTW where you get the red AMG plate on the intake plenums?

Put it in Dyno mode and the truth will come out...I always leave equal marks everywhere but in Dyno mode only one wheel spinned wildly.

In dyno mode I can smoke both tires no problem. I dont know what it is? why my car spins both tires in a burnout. I guess you must have to drive like a mad man to get the electronic lsd to start working for you.... when i say burnout I mean one foot on gas the other on the brake

wow, that is quite impressive, congrats!

any chance you'll be replacing the Mandrus wheels with some lightweight wheels to compliment your massive power?
