bad day for the c32..

well fellas, today was a bad day for the c32.. i was driving on a 50mph road on the left lane with a 2 foot center divider. i was doing about 60mph when all of a sudden i hear this loud pop, my steering wheel pulls to the left with no reaction time, next thing i notice im over the center devider and on the oposite lane..!! luckily their where no cars on that lane so i managed to get off the intersection with the car wobling. i put my hand in my pants to see if i **** my self.. i get out and 3 of my wheels are freeking twisted really bad. i had my bro bring the stocks from my house and put em on. this was the scary part, i was afraid that my suspension was going to be all messed up but when i took off the car drove fine.. just the steering wheel was off a little to the right. im going in to the shop first thing monday but before that i would like to know what can be bad.. what do you guys think i should look for..? the way its driving now i hope just a wheel alignment..

Your suspension is jacked for sure. Not trying to be mean but I just had this happen from avoiding someone sideswiping me. I replaced every arm, the rear carrier and rack and pinion! Total will be about 20k+ I think after all said and done. There is no real good way to tell if the arms are bent without having a stock one next to it. How did you hit the center divide? Just spacing out? Sounds like.

Dang, sounds crazy scary. Glad your ok. I hope it all works out with your insurance company. So a tire blew out and pulled you into the divider? Pay the deductible and let them handle it. Wheels and tires hopefully are covered. Your car is one of the favorite c32's on here for me. Get it back in good health.

im guessing the front tire did blow and pulled me in to the divider.. the front wheel hit first so it kind of got it the worst.. its going to be a very slow recovery.. me and the lady just got a home and only have money for down payment and appliances.. DAMN THIS SUCKS..!! knowing you guys are here for me makes me feel so much better, reading other peoples stories way worst than this and the outcome always great just gives me hope that i will get thru this nightmare.. thank guys..

when the tire blew out, it sent the car to the center divider so the left front wheel was the first to go over. im going to look and can see if theirs any noticeble damage on that side.. was your car drivable after all that happened to you..? how did it feel..?

As a realtor let me congratulate you on your purchase. It's a great time to buy and you made a good decision. Things will fall into place. Let your realtor know about your accident, they may offer to help. I know I would. 3% is enough to share, and keep you stress free during this process.

Good to see your ok, If you have the chance, jack up the car take a close look at the under carriage, rack, front lower arms. From the sound of your driving it with oem wheels, it should be ok. Cross your finger! GL.

File a claim with the insurance. They should cover it.

Your welcome. Sorry off topic but useful. Here are two websites that may help you or your friends look for a home. One is Hud homes for Southern California and the other is for Northern California

People think HUD and say no way, but don't realize some of these are in better condition than the foreclosed or lender owned. Plus if your a first time buyer or haven't owned a home in the last 2 years you can qualify for $100 down payment on any of these. Another bonus is you only need like a 580 fico to qualify. Not all banks do 203k loans but I use bank of america, and they are everywhere for now. Feel free to PM me with any questions. Glad to help.

What the sales pitch is going on? Come on.

In any event, when I hit the curb in my car, it was against a 2ft curb! It smacked the left front then left rear. I pulled over and was pretty bummed. My wrist was hurt a bit and the wheel was as you described, crooked to the left.

I got out and noted that the tires were still inflated so I actually drove the car home slow and carefully. As I was able to do so, I figured that it would be that bad, nor cost that much. The initial estimate was 20k! It's just that hard to tell with suspension arms being specially curved etc. They replaced the front bumper, every arm, rack, rear carrier and both left rims were junked, including the tires.

Just pay your insurance deductable and eat it. Then take it to a shop you trust and have them replace every part that is suspect. $500 is less than 20k or having something else fail or not be correct later etc.

I'm in AZ not CA, no sales pitch nothing to gain. Free advice. For him not you so read on if you don't like it.

It's still greasy realtor talk which doesn't belong here. Better for a pm, if at all.
