Taking It Easy for A While

Its off topic, but...

I've had a pretty decent cold now for a solid week. I mentioned it in a thread or two, but it looks like its gonna last a bit longer.

Today I was diagnosed with pneumonia and have been told to refrain from many activities that require even a little amount of exertion of effort, including not working on my car . I'm on tons of prescription drugs, including some crazy cough syrup with codeine in it. I have been told I need to sleep a ton and basically do nothing but that, which sucks as I was really hoping to get to the track and get some new numbers for my new setup. Looks like this may be in jeopardy and may not happen at all, at least maybe not for a while. I'm just gonna have to take it easy for a little while and might be on the forum a little less often, as a lot of my hours spent are at night. Hopefully, will get better soon and back to full health.

Anyway, just letting you guys (my little "C32/C55/SRT6/mbworld family") know.

-Josh

Hope you get better. Codeine, you say? I think you need some Jolly Ranchers and a bit of Sprite now to have a party.

Alright buddy just take it easy. I think you were putting out to much boost and your ecu started pulling timing. Now you have to shut down and restart. The track will be here when your ready.

Like I mentioned in one of your threads you are your car and if you are not in the best of health well your car waits so thus we wait. We tend to forget ourselves while imvolved in other activities but now you have come to a point that you require the attention you wish to give your car. Like I mentioned before your car is nothing without you. Take this time to strengthen yourself we only wish the best for you my friend

GOD LOVES YOU.

^^^^ Good one.

The health of the car is secondary to the health of the driver - take care of yourself, PLEASE !!!

It is said that a deep-dish pizza from Lou Malnati's has recuperative powers....let me know if you want me to Fedex one over.

Dude, all you need to do after you take the cough medicine is take a few shots of whisky too...

But really though, Pneumonia's are serious business. The less you breathe, the faster you will get better as with any respiratory illness.

I had the same thing not to long ago, Pneumonia & Bronchitis. It was brutal. fever, cold chills, cold symptoms I manned up and went to the Dr. I was on a breathing treatment that was amazing when I, My chest x-ray I had a nice patch of Pneumonia in my lower left part of my lung... Honestly I still dont feel 100% I was out of work for about 2 weeks.

Bro, I know what you are going through and its brutal. Get some rest and take long hot showers, With out Brock this time.. Also Tylenol was the only thing that was able to break my fever. Advil & Aleve didn't do a damn thing. When I did have a fever of 102 and it broke, it felt so good for an hour, until the fever came back. So keep an Eye on your temp. The Antibiotics will KO the Pneumonia soon enough.

thanks. yah, not sure if i wanna take any alcohol after the cough medicine. not actually supposed to drink any because it will nullify the effects of the antibiotics (azithromycin).

The track was closed on Friday so I just crashed and watched TV. My phone always rings and I can never hear it.. Its either stupid loud of very quiet. Not to mention it also calls people in my pocket all the time.

As an update:

I am now on my fourth antibiotic. Went from Amoxicillin to Keflex to Azithromycin (Zpac) to now Avelox. Only have 3 more days of antibiotics and hopefully will be done taking them. The doctor said it was pretty bad the first time I came in, but my second chest xray should some improvement. Still feeling extremely exhausted though.
