Got a C6 Z06
I can't make this long because I am too excited and have the Vette on my mind. I got an 08 1LZ Z06 Drove it today for 100miles and taught myself how to drive a stick lol.
I am ****ing super dooper happy !!! I can finally drive a car that doesn't break everyday, but a little sad cause I will be spending less time with so many friends I made in the C32 section within the past year and five months. I wanted an AMG but with the budget I had, I could only afford the 55k AMG's or C63's. 55k would be unreliable because I would mod the crap out of it the first month lol and the C63 will get blown off by the Z anyday. Anyway I would probably write more to this post, but right now I am overwhelmed with the desire to go drive that Z![drive](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/driving.gif)
This isn't a goodbye, I will be hanging out here all the time, mostly in the kill section. I'll start to spam that place once I perfect my shifting.

I have always thought about the Vette since my Aunt has one, but always walk away from it cause' I needs 4 doors or at least 4 seats ![rolf](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rofl.gif)

She was mad when she found out my 4 doors had beaten her 2 seat (btw hers is 03 C5, not Z06 though lol)

Yeah, the Vette's mods are in the same price range as C32's. Probably even a little more. It's BS.
I don't know if I am going to mod it or not yet. Supercharging idea was in my head before I got it. My parents made me sign a paper where I said that I will take care of all repairs for this car lol, it was my mom's idea. Although intake, cats and exhaust tips shouldn't void the warranty (or so I heard). But I don't have a job so I can't afford to repair it if anything expensive breaks and I don't want to upset my dad.
Right now the biggest mod for me is to learn how to drive stick like a pro. I'm gona try to hit the dyno and 1/4 next week.
A lot of attention from women
. The cockpit gets very loud on the highway, it doesn't bother me, but I had to yell for my friend to hear me. And you can't feel the speed as well as I could on the C32. It feels like I am going 40 when in reality it's 100+ (in Mexico :P)

C32 AMG
Congrats on the new ride. No doubt they can be real monsters, but if you're main complaint with the E55 and 63's was lack of reliability, you may want to look at the plastic rocket a little closer. There are several videos on youtube complaining about how their Z06 fell apart rolling down the freeway. My favorite is when the roof blew off....
Don't get me wrong, I'd still gladly own a 'vette, but not over a 55k or 63 Benz. Now, get to modding and enjoy your 11 second 1/4 monster!

Thanks! Z06's only come in coupe.
Reliability was a factor, but not the only one. How many E55's do you see with 8k miles on the odometer? How many still have factory warranty? 55k's feel a bit outdated and the only superiority they have that makes a difference to me is the interior. I looked for a few 65's but their price was way out of my league.
The roof flying off is a defect that affects only a few months of production in 06. 07's have rocker arms that fall off. I think 08 and 09's are the most reliable. I am very happy I got a Z and not an E55 or a C63.
Other people would make a different decision but at my age I'd rather feed my need for speed and get a nice Benz later on in life, than drive a slower car now and drive a fast car slowly later.
