Group5motorsport Renntech package
Im thinking about going to Group5motorsports tomarrow and ordering the Renntech stage 1 package. Its an ECU upgrade and Carbon Fiber Airbox for $3,130.00 Is that a fair price for both? Or should I hold off and shop around?

Definitly not cheap any way you look at it. You're almost half way to the price of a blower. However, Renntech is a top notch company and there are two dynos (hopefully I'll be adding a third shortly)showing that the airbox makes gains -- even better with the ECU tune..

You're paying for the name, not the performance you get from the upgrade. LET can save you thousands! Also check out TVT, evosport, AMS, VRP, etc. Renntech and Kleeman are high quality parts but a lot has to do with the name.
A new wildcard is MBH which was just started up by our very own Hooleyboy. PM him and I'm sure he can get you much more for you money.

For 3K you can do a lot.
Tune: 800.00
Headers: 1500.00 (high side)
KN Filters: 90.00
Intake Manifold Porting: 600-1000.00
That should net you a substantial amount of power, better throttle response, and a great sounding car. No CF though...

is that just for parts? surely, installation is not included in that price.
