CD changer not detected?

2002 c32 AMG 2012 c250 Coupe
my cartridge ejects fine but when played for a couple of minutes, it stops playing and the radio doesnt detect the cd changer.. when this happends, the radio doesnt work either.. not only that but thru time, its been getting worst and worst playing less everytime.. IT EFFIN SUKS *****..!!!!

I've written it off as yet another thing on my Mercedes to break. I love my car, but I've replaced every accessory on the engine so far.
My next car, I'm having serious thoughts about getting another European car.

every now again, mine wont detect that their are CD's in certain spots. spots vary. sometime it will detect no cd in spot 4 when there is and sometimes it will detect it. sometimes it wont detect a cd in spot 2 when there is one in there. sometimes it will. weird. lol. i just keep ejecting the cartridge and putting it back in until it detects the cd i want to listen to

I just kept pressing the button and was lightly banging on the front of the changer and it eventually came out.

I wonder if this is the precursor to the problem where the cartridge can't be detected and all of a sudden the entire head-unit won't work?
I used to have both the full radio crap out on me, and occasionally have this problem too, but come to think of it, I haven't had it a single time since I just started using a tape adapter for my iPod (knock on wood). I guess this isn't a possibility for people with the in-dash CD HUs

Had this issue with cd changer not being detected 05 CLK55, and sound would stop working all together. Was at the dealer for a month, then we convinced them to swap the command unit all together.
FIXED!!!!!!!!!
