Need Help!!!
Sorry about the title..
But i need advice before I go and get something done to my car.
I currently have the res. delete. I want to get my secondary cats deleted as well.
Will This throw on my check engine lights?
How much does this cost to do?
Thanks!

Nope-depends on the shop doing it-but $100 or so sounds close (depends on pipe, and if its an after hours job-some places wont touch cats w/o replacing them with another one)-
def worth it-I just had my res taken 2 weekends ago-the guys at the road track liked the sound after!

Good on you if you can find a place that will remove the cats. The shop that removed my resonator flat refused to remove the secondary cats, even when I asked to have 'test pipes' fitted. Be aware that after removing the resonator you will hear a little resonance from the exhaust at low speeds. I notice it, but I don't find it offensive.

The sound is a lot better I wasn't satisfied with just the resonator removed. The place I had it done at charged 60 per cat which is 2 and on the invoice i noticed he put installed rear cats and resonator vs removed.

Mine was $75 to remove resonator and cats. Best bet is to find a small run down looking exhaust shops. The scarier the place looks, the better. This "mod", if you can call it that, is a must have. Jamie Presley's tongue doesn't hurt either.hehe

i havent seen any dynos, but from what i heard, you will at most maybe see like 1 to 2 whp if any. you really only benefit performance wise from deleting your resonator and secondary cats in cutting weight (mostly from resonator) and by using headers, b/c without them, the stock manifolds are the main bottleneck. So you actually see greater gains with headers and secondary cat/resonator delete than just headers.

It got annoying for me after a while, because even though the sound it made was nice, the problem for me was that it droned at cruising speeds and IMHO that's just not how a Mercedes should sound.
BTW keep the secondary cats, try to sell them to the shop that takes them off for you. I think I got $40 for mine.
