I mean, most of us have asked some form or tech data question on mbworld and you can count on Splinter to post a diagram or relative link to help you out.

Maybe its me but as of late the search function ism't helping me much and I get crappy results. But Splinter just knows where to find all these lost threads.

So Splinter this thread for you. You are a valuable asset to MBworld

In addition, for those of you that have met him in person, you realize what an all-around quality person he is.

On more than one occasion he has offered to personally sacrifice his time to assist me with DIY work on my car. I am going to take him up on it someday, as I know his expertise and attention to detail is similar to his advise give in these forums and the work will be top notch.

Thank you, John, for your magnanimity (there you go, professor!).

Well let me join in on the "splinter" lovefest as well...

John has regularly been a source of (always excellent) information to the forum, but it's really his calm, thoughtful, optimist's demeanor that makes his contributions so valuable and effective (IMHO). While I've not have the privilege to meet him in person (opposite coasts and all), he's always been readily available when I've had questions or just wanted to discuss something, and for that I am sincerely grateful.

And even knowing him just the little bit that I do, I'm sure he's equal parts appreciative and embarrassed that this thread even exists...

I agree with all of the previous posters.
Should we have an annual award, like an MVP award, that will go to the person that contributed the most? The Mods can serve as the nominators and we ca run a poll. The winner can get a special designation, in addition to the "out of control" or whatever.

I think you do know splinter very well. Given a choice, I believe he would rather that this thread did not exist.

Did I mention "humble" in my previous post?

Splinter has been a fantastic resource to have on the entire MBWorld forum. We're very lucky to have him as a resident in the C32 subforum!
I've never met him in person either; however, I sure hope to one day!

OK, boohoo. Since you chimed in here, I'm going to have to say that you are in the same category as splinter. You have put together some of the most detailed and beautiful DIY threads to ever grace the entire MBWorld site.

To me, boohoorambers and splinter are the best reasons to return to this forum each day.

Truly, from the bottom of my heart, thank you to both of you. You have both saved me thousands of dollars in repair bills, so far, and entertained me continuously.

Cheers to you, John and Patrick.
