Boost gauge position?

Where is the best place to install a boost gauge?
Is it the same boost before and after the supercharger?
Thanks.

Good question. That and a good data logger are on my must have list. There are just so many choices out there! What boost gauge did you end up with?

you can also use some electronic OBDII ones like DashDaq. They are really nice, but those are quite pricey (Dashdaq can be 549 or like 659 with Navigation) and not all of them are compatible, like i recently found out when i purchased ScanGaugeII.

I was just going to ask if you had found one yet that works to its full potential. Guess ScanGuage can be ruled out....

If I could just get accurate boost, IATs, and AFRs, I'd be happy.

yah leaning towards a DashDaq even though price is high. However, to accurately monitor AFRs, you will still need to purchased a wideband-02 sensor/kit since our ECU only reads narrowband O2. Zeitronix (spelling?) sells kits i think for like 150 that are compatible. the nice thing about dashdaq is the tons of features it offers and it might look cleaner than like 3 gauges, but it is more expensive.

Check out the DashDaq website. It's pretty legit. And I don't have nav, not that i need it, but i would consider getting one with nav

I used DashDaq until my car problems started. I like it a lot. When my IC pump went, I knew right away what the problem was. DashDaq can also monitor boost using OBD2. No need to tap into the Y-pipe. It does not take as many samples per second as the Zeitronix boost sensor, but otherwise, works fine an is accurate. I have Zeitronix installed but did not get a chance to connect it to DashDaq before the car crapped out on me.
