Rims and wheels?

After 185mm pulley kit, i am getting a lot of spin (stock size, conti sc2)
what is the best type of tire and size for a 1/4 mile race?
Confused between going to 18in (265/35/18) or stay on 17in but going to 255/40/17.
what is the best tire for spin issues??
Thanks.

Dedicated drag radials (e.g. Mickey Thompson E/T Street Radials) size 255/50 R-16, on a 16" rear wheel, is your best bet for a 1/4 mile race.

If you're not ready or willing for a dedicated drag setup, second best IMHO would be a very sticky tire (Bridgestone RE-11, Dunlop Direzza Star Spec Z1, Toyo R1R or R888, etc.) in your OEM fitment.

Im extremely happy with my Toyos, a nice and less costly alternative to the PS2s. Plus the tread has a very nice and aggressive look to it

T1R is decent to do every day jobs.

the best off the line traction I've experienced was the GS-D3 Eagle F1, but they're discontinued. The PS2 second.

it's Eagle F1 GS-D3. full name of the tire. the one that replaced it is called the Eagle F1 Asymmetric.

Just a newbie question, but do you guys think i would be able to fit wheels 20x10's with 285/30/20 and 20x8.5's with 245/35/20 on a c32? They came off a e55.

Thanks,
Pete
