I had the same system and I don't think it was digital. So it may not work with the digital TV signal. The 2005 and later is a digital tuner. Or there could be some settings you could try.
You can always add a DVD or game system to the two sets of inputs.

no point to get MB nav if u want the latest features. I have the TV tuner and nothing to watch now (at least I watched the Laker final with it for last few days). The 2 inputs from TV tuner help but the screen is way too small and Nav. is too aged.
