C55 Exhaust sneak peek pics inside

So after some delays the exhaust is almost finished for the C55. 100% TIG welded and back purged to assure the best welds. All US 304 stainless steel However I can't remember if the flanges are 321 or 304. We are just finishing up a muffler mount and welding in the bungs for the O2's

Exhaust come with 200 Cell hiflow cats that can be taken out and replaced with test pipes for racing.

We also have a Cali cat for you Cali members.

Here are some pics. along with a pic of the TIG weld quality

No Price yet. Just want to keep my friends in the loop

He's got the hands of a surgeon when it come to welding. Speaking of gold. I'm almost dont want to start the car up because once the heat get to the Stainless it will turn it a goldish color.

As far as I know today is dyno day. Lets keep our fingers crossed on that.

power is a given, but how bad is the drone at 70/80mph on highway.. thats one thing making me hesitant to buy any header.

Nice job!

Looks almost exactly like my exhaust except that I have an X pipe and no resonators. Essentially straight pipe from the engine back to the stock mufflers.

What diameter are you using? I would like to purchase the X-pipe only.

What are the basic parameters to dyno this setup? Stock car? Your car?

That why its going to take a while to refining the sound. I have a good set of resonators that would kill the drone

I can get you the xpipe no problem we are using 3 inch pipe.

I can get you the xpipe its real nice.
Right now my car will be on the dyno. My last exhaust setup (headers custom exhaust) made 20whp. We have a stock C55 exhaust system we will mod to run a whole bunch of test. right down to the mufflers. If there is a NA C55 in the AZ area that wants to get some free dyno time it would really help.

Its perfect for a test pipe that we will offer. Quality is key. I wont put my hands on anything less then the best at this point. After the mock up is all welded the pipes will be all mandrel bent when they are ready for production.

If we did anything less then quality I would just start selling wood stove pipes. Thought I seen some kicking around MBW as of late. Since I'm not in the home heating biz you wont see anything like that coming from me.

I know what its like to get a substandard part and it pisses me off to no end. Quote me on this .. No half finished, sub-standard, stuff will ever be shipped out and sold to my friends here at MBW from MBH/Dyno-Comp!

Will there possibly be no droning without resonators then, possibly with the 200 or 300 cell cats?
