Aluminum pedals problem

So I bought some aluminum pedals off of a forum member. I let him know I had a C32. The pedals I received use screws to hold the pedals on - however our cars do not have screw holes from the factory.

Needless to say I'm disappointed. Has anyone ran into this before? Did you drill holes? I'm so tempted to go buy a drill.

Well I bought a drill. The battery is charging. The gas pedal is the pedal i'm most concerned with, I might have to get some different hardware to bolt it on. We'll see.....

I installed everything but the dead pedal. I'm not sure what to do there. It looks good without it, but I wouldn't mind figuring out how to install it. Has anyone drilled into that area, what's behind it?

Everything else was farily easy to drill into.....looks decent.

Well, from my experience back in the day with hondas, we never actually drilled the pedals onto the stock ones. The ones from ebay or what not just fit over the pedal and had a back plate you screwed it into, holding it tight over the stock ones. Maybe he just sold you the top half and not the back plate with screws?

why not just use some double sided 3m tape. that way you can take it off if you dont like it. only thing about the metal pedals is that it gets really slippery when your shoes are wet. Thats why i stuck with the oem rubber pedals.

I can always put the rubber stock ones back on. You'd never know the difference.

Here's a link to what he's selling:

https://mbworld.org/forums/exterior-...us-pedals.html

The pedals do have black pads that raise higher than aluminum to assist in wet conditions I'm assuming.

Hey RLx02 - I'm actually in Kirkland - moved here almost 2 months ago - is there any type of car scene around here?

1. those are replica Brabus and fake AMG pedals (AMG doesn't have actual pedals).

2. authentic Brabus, Lorinser, or Carlsson pedals DOES use screws to mount the pedals and you do have to drill holes on the pedals

3. If you don't want to drill the pedals just buy the MB OEM aluminum pedals that are now standard on all the sport models and AMGs. The OEM mounts the same way as your rubber pedals.

I was just looking for an upgraded look/feel to the stock rubber, didn't really care that they weren't OEM. They fit fine so I'm happy.

I just replaced the stock rubber pedals with the aluminum pedals with dots and they fit perfectly. They are the stock Benz pedals from a 2006 C230.

Heres the part numbers:

A 170 300 00 04 ACCELERATOR PEDAL
A 203 430 00 84 PARKING BRAKE
A 170 290 01 82 BRAKE PEDAL

TOTAL IS $38.00 @ http://www.parts.com/oemcatalog/inde...archCatalogOEM

HOPE THIS HELPS.

Do those pedals fit a w209? I would think so. Will they let me buy those parts since they require my Vin number and its gonna come up as a CLK500.

Another question is, is there a DIY for these oem pedals? I heard that I have to remove the gas pedal entirely?

Maybe they changed things, but my real Brabus pedals only had screws for the gas pedal, and little (serious PITA) bolts/lock nuts for the other two (brake and clutch).

And to answer the other question, drilling into your dead pedal area should not be a problem.

Look at the pedals that you have now. Does your pedals slip off kind of like a really tight shoe? And if so is there a metal pedal underneath. If so, it is like mine and the part numbers work perfect between a 06 C230 and a 02 C32. Not sure about a W209

...a panty dropper...
The dead pedal just gets drilled into the large area on the left side of the brake pedal since its not plastic or anything. Its just a hardened carpeted area you can drill the screws into with no worries. But yes the gas pedal you have to drill into to mount which is not too hard if you have the right tools. No drilling needed for the dea pedal, just screw it into place with the screws provided.

No need to take the entirely gas pedal out...there is pin there just have to take that out then slide the rubber part out and replaced with the one you want.

The pin you are talking about is it the one I circled?
I couldn't take it out
There's no threading on it and there's something on the other side of that circled pin as well.
How did you do it? I don't wanna break it cause it's the accelerator. lol

I got the pedals from the part numbers you provided, thanks!
I'm having trouble with the accelerator, I can't take the two sided pin out.
There's no thread on it. Any tips?

The dead pedal is the easiest of all. Just drill through the panel right through the carpeting and you are done.
