A/C problem

A/C problem
When the car is in traffic the A/C will turn to warm and only in traffic, on highway it's very cold, if you rev above 2000 rpm in traffic the A/C will turn cold, and not all time this problem appears.
Any help? no codes on Star.
I refiled it with new gaz but the problem is still.
Thanks.

dont mean to thread hijack, but does anyone know the optimum refrigerant pressure and perhaps what pressure is considered to be low? i've been messing with that nifty A/C menu and i believe option/readout 9 displays refrigerant pressure

I think there is a small fan in the dash housing (blower motor, ect as well as the guts of the air divertion system) that I think may not be working for you-turn on the air (no AC) and set it at 4-5 from the front vents-it should push pretty hard-if it is-nix the fan idea-could be the compressor not getting enough from the belt below 2k rpm (which would be a fluk if nothing else)-

The problem is when you have a hot girl sucking on your "three pointed star" and your car is idling, the AC will not work since the only motor idle increasing is yours!!!
Take it to an AC shop, they can pressure test the system and either add or reduce refrigerant as needed. On a 6-7 year old car, it may very well need a can. AC is just one of those things I never touch myself.
