Track last night

Ok so yesterday i went to the track. The last time i went my car was completely stock and i ran a 13.04... Since then i have had my resonator deleted as well as my secondary cats. I couldnt seem to get out of 13.1's
i would hit 13.2 and 13.1 all night.
I am wondering if #1 the weather could be a affect. It was 87 last night and very humid.
or #2 since i did the mods to the car some people at the track were telling me i am loosing a lot of back pressure an thats why my times are worse.. Any one know what it can be.. Sucks if i spent money on the car to make it slower~! lol
thanks

weather will have a huge effect on your times. Also a simple cat delete does yield some power gains, but its not enough to start knocking off 10th's in the 1/4 mile.

Plan your next trip to the track based on the weather conditions. Cooler is better generally speaking.

Down here it will be a while b4 it gets cool. 13.1 is still a respectable time and better than most here.

DA Effects: The power output of the engine — power output depends on oxygen intake, so the engine output is reduced as the equivalent "dry air" density decreases and produces even less power as moisture displaces oxygen in more humid conditions.

Similar weather my car ran what it did in my sig. Though not as hot it was hot as hell. D/A was about 2000. So I wouldn't fret.

I am going to the track again when it gets cooler, and with a tune.

I am defintely hoping for a cold front to come soon lol... Even that I know 13.1 is a respectable time.. It just gets to me since last time I was able to run 13.00 the whole. Night... Mph decreased from 108 to 106 from last time I was at the track..

Its all in the weather. I've been there, in fact I'm still there. I picked up about 50-60whp when I was NA and my 1/4 mile times didnt change at all until the weather cooled. It was frustrating to say the least. Keep at it. Us guys in warmer climates have different race seasons that most others. Keep at it bro.

Tell us about your launch style. The C55 isn't the hardest car to launch but for an auto trans car its not exactly the easiest.

Agreed - and BTW that's why nobody else signed up for the ride. No Moroso for me till November or so.

Yeah thats the reason why i felt no one signed up.. The best way ive been able to launch is holding the brake and accelerating upto 2100 rpms..
I dont peel out at all.. Def. going to go back to the track when it gets under 70.

I didn't know the track is 40 miles outside the "city" and drove in with 1/4 tank of gas. Well, by the time I got there the gas light was on, and the only station was a marina with 85 (not E85, 85 oct with no ethonal) and 87 (w/out ethonal) so I pumped 4 gallons of 87. My first run with 13.504 @104 and from there on out I ran a consistant 13.8 @102/3.
