Can you put a oem nav system into a non nav car? Trying to find the perfect car and one I am looking at does not have nav. Thanks!

the oem nav BLOWS. just get an aftermarket nav system and you'll be much more happy.

What would you recommend? I thought it was a big job because of the way the benz is set up?

i dont have nor use nav, so i'm really not sure what to recommend. my parents use to have nav on their MB and it was just awful, as were most of the navs that came around during the 32/55 era. not sure how the new ones are, but i would stick to an aftermarket one. i think my parents have a Magellan which they seem to like.

Yeah, I have the nav on my 32 and I opt to use a Tom Tom instead.

OEM NAV sucks. Get an aftermarket unit and you will be happy...

I agree with everyone regarding the quality of the OEM Nav. But to answer your original question, yes, it can be done and has been done. You will also need a GPS antenna that goes under the dash.
