couple of quirks

2002 C32 amg, 1998 328i
couple of quirks
1st and most annoying. No intermittant winshield wipers. I have the headlight washers so I thought I had auto wipers? I can see multiple sensors through the windshield too. The stalk has only delayed wipe, lo then high. Anyone have this problem?
2nd A/C has no happy place. it seems that the temp is coldest no matter how low the stat is set to or how high until I set it above 80 degrees? and the air flow doesnt seem to follow the routes the knobs suggest. I can still feel air on my feet event when I set it for the dash vents. Any suggestions? no hits on searches.

And I've just admitted defeat against the W203 A/C system and am just resigned to say it sucks worse than my 84' Camry's A/C.

i hate the fan speed options......the highest fan speed is ridiculous and then one setting lower drops the fan speed dramatically....and then each subsequent drop in setting is very minor....i dont get it?
