I wonder if this is actually going to be a production version or a tuner made version? It may be made to compete with the ZR1, except that to compete with the ZR1 it needs to be made by Ford or SVT, not a tuner like Roush or Hennessey, etc etc

Just kidding, I would never recommend taking out anger against someone's ride. That's just chicken ****.

+1 , they are strong, BUT I hear they don't hook up too well?? I saw one run at Byron Raceway and he was having a helluva time getting over 115 because of a poor trachshun (or worse driving??)(sic) , but once they hook, they are very strong.

frank. stock Shelby GT500 trap between 108-112 (per dragtimes.com). I'm not talking about the Super Snake GT500. no way on that one.
the additional weight on the GT500s, *i have heard*, has made them almost dead even with the Terminator Cobras, which I pulled on a tiny bit with my old setup (code3 pulley, wrap kit, non-dyno tune, SL55).

GT500 I think they weight about the same as the C63. 3800-4000lb?
I think I read somewhere on C63 forum someone weight stationed his C63 with full tank of gas and himself around 4100lb.
our car is around 3800 with driver?

Pull up next to a car and make the front end hop up. They'd be totally like

yah that would be sick. when i launch it from a dig, you can actually see my front end lurch upwards a decent amount from an "outside of the car perspective", and i can obviously see my headlights jump up a bit, but no air time lol. nothing too crazy. THAT car i posted vids of was absolutely sick in person. loud as hell

The Super Snake’s arrest-me-now styling is not my cup of tea.
Can’t argue with its formidable horsepower from them having bolted a Kenne Bell lysholm onto the already stout GT500.
Easy 10s @ 130+ and a nicely upgraded, canyon-ready chassis. Shelby’s $32k upcharge is hardly chump change though. Helps ensure exclusivity, but there are several more roadworthy machines from which to choose when writing a check of that size IMHO.
A stock GT500 is actually pretty close performance-wise to a mildly tweaked C32. Ran essentially even with several from ~70 to 115, lap after lap. Some of their owners can’t drive around corners too well. “What have you done to yours” was asked by a few during friendly post-session paddock tale swapping.
Note that Ford’s in-house hardware division (FRPP) and a slew of aftermarket vendors offer go-fast goodies for a mere fraction of what MB enthusiasts have become accustomed to investing. As such, many Mustang pilots are justifiably mod happy. I’d venture a guess that there are many more of them – as a percentage of ownership and in absolute numbers – than one will find amongst the relatively minuscule faithful here.
It's probably prudent to tread lightly during most impromptu GT500 encounters.

Ok so yes I only read about half way down!
The shop I use had a super snake there a few months back as a classic mustang lover I was like wow this thing is completely sick, when I first saw it. After getting a crazy ride along with the owner it blow my mind what a pos (for the price) now yes it can travel past time (if you can ever get it to hook, which you can with some very very wide drags out back). Nonetheless handling while in the passenger seat felt like a 747 trying to run some canyons.
It’s a sick straight like car and while yes, our mercs are no canyon carvers this thing is just out of control. So many better cars for the money.

I would race one for the hell of it! At the very least you would give the Snake owner a suprise when he is not obliterating you like he would expect! I have surprised many a person and recieved a thumbs up more than a few times when my untrusty little c32 that sounds like a vacuum cleaner on crack pulls away!
