are there any members here that have used automotivetouchup.com's products, whether stouch up aerosol, to paint pens, and their clear coat?

is it true that its a true color match and such?

i just ordered the paint pen and clear coat pen last night for my 197 Obsidian Black to touch up some rock nicks and chips on my hood and rear quarter panel, havent gotten the item yet becaue it is supposed to be custom mixed and made to order, so itll take a while i guess.

Suppose to take a day or two to process and depending on what shipping method u chose, will determine when youll receive it.

im hoping to recieve the paint pens eihter monday or tuesday.. 9/21 or 9/22

anywho, any feedback would be great guys and gals!

PS sorry if its been posted as a Q's before...
i couldnt find any thread specific about them?

THANKS in advance guys!

That's all we use at our shop and the match is spot on. Even with the metallic paint it is damn near perfect. You'll be very happy.

In Florida,(rock chips??) I though that was "South Florida Sand Blasting???" Compared to us, you guys have no reason to complain. Trust me, its much worse up north with the rock salt and roads being under construction all the time. Ooops I fogot, they have the infamous "Florida Flyer" rock trucks??

Another supplier for paint is Mr. Color Chip???

True - but I drive about 60 miles a day on the Turnpike - and I have the battle scars to show it.

Been on that road many times from Ocala south to Miami Lauderdale area!!! The North- South roads toward UF in Ocala/Gainesville in the middle of the state are sweet though. I-10 Toward FSU in Tallahassee is probably one of the sweetest East- west roads I have ever traveled

Ever put your hand out of the window like an airplane flying while driving behind a semi. You can feel the grit coming off those 18 wheels just blasting the front of your car and windshield. Its not near as bad with a car in front of you.

I hear that. My trip to work is 120 miles total. My front bumper looks like swiss cheese. I'm really glad this post was made. I put an order in for a whole slew of things.

here it is, ok ok, so im sorry the quality is a lil bad! but bear with me,
heres some before and after shots

BEfore:
this was on the hood, notice the WHITE nick..

After:
oh dang..i guess bad comparison..you can see the lil blemishes, but this was before buffed it out and such with a compound..

Before:
ok this one is the drivers rear quarter panel, if u look closely there are 3 white nicks. they're lined up symmetrical

AFter:
This one is a good comparison, same rear quarter panel, the pain blend well on this one, u cant even see it anymore, even in real life its also clear coated as well..

more pics:
heres a pic of the hood, u can see little blemishes from deep rock nicks, they're still fresh, havent really cured, and still havent buffed them out..

so...
after doing the touch-ups, i figured ill touch up the entire car, staying away from the areas where i touched up the niks and such...with Meguire's Ultimate Detailer Spray..my best friend! haha

and clean up the engine bay as well

Clean :-)

OK, in the end, im pretty much happy with the product! the matching was dead on! itll look a little DARK right when applied, but thats becuase its wet, after it dries, youll get a dull obsidian black, let is it, an hour later touch it up with the clear coat...itll be a lil shiny, but gotta wait to buff it out with a compound the day after to make it shine.

i tried the whole deal to one of the areas on the hood, that only required a lil bit of the base coat and clear coat...after i buffed it out the the ultimate compound by meguires, it actually blended well and shine just like the rest of the car!

thanks guys!

im sure the other products will work well!
