Anybody have the Goodridge SS brake lines?
Just another way to waste my money....
But anyway, has anyone bought the kit? It's a little over $100 or so new for the set of 4 lines. Just wondering if anyone noticed any difference with them.

It's hard to tell if I feel the difference because I know there should be a difference. But under regular driving, there isn't much. It mostly feels better/firmer in heavy NY traffic and on the track.

In theory, it should be an improvement - I noticed little change with my Goodridge SS lines, however... it could very well have been a placebo effect too. To be fair, I changed pads, rotors, lines, and fluid all at the same time, so it's all but impossible to chalk any noticeable changes up to any one of those variables. But, from other's feedback as well, it's safe to say it's almost no change vs. the stock lines.

the general idea behind the s/s lines are that the rubber lines expand under pressure. by wrapping the rubber hose in a s/s weave the expansion is held to a minimum therefore putting the added pressure to the calipers. and they look like a million bucks!!!

Yea, I had them on another car. I just wasn't sure if it was even worth it - you really get the most benefit out of a good biting set of pads (and some new rotors to chew on). Might as well put that money as pad-money.
Thx for the opinions guys

If you bought them on ebay for $65 those are NOT goodridge lines guaranteed; those are Magnum Lines and they suck compared to Goodridge. I know as I've had both on the same car. Double that price and they're legit Goodridge. Definitely firmer pedal for real goodridge lines. Magnum lines were a mild improvement. The magnum lines have very thin walled connections at the connections which allows them to bend easily.
Spend the extra money and get goodridge, they're worth it. Change the fluid to motul 600 while you're at it and bleed properly.
