Vibration...............
Car is fine when the gear is in P or N.. But shorty after I shift to D or 1st, car starts to shake a little.. It's not a huge vib but you could def feel it by handle or by ur seat... When I drive the car, it's perfectly fine.. No problem what so ever...
I talked to few AMG owners here and some think it's the bushings n some think its related to spark plugs / wires...
Any idea whats causing this issue?
I've also noticed that the RPM drops to 500 when the car is in gear and that's when the car starts to shake a little...
Going to the tech tomorrow

I actually find that I have MORE vibes when I'm in P or N compared to R or D. I don't have a 500 rpm drop though, unless you're throwing it in gear right after a cold start.
On the topic of vibes though, at certain times on the highway I can feel a vibe through the steering wheel and the seat. It comes and goes, and can be gone, faint, or slightly heavy. Being that it can come from anywhere, I'm unsure if it's the engine mounts, drivetrain mounts, suspension bushings, tire out of balance (but then I should feel it always), cold-squared tires, worn/warped rotors, or even the car's suspension harmonics over a given uneven road surface...... For now I've just been living with it until it becomes worse I guess

If its the engine mount, car should shake when I'm driving as well right?
It only shakes / vib when the car is staionary in 1st gear or D...
I'll know more once my mech checks it out tonight.. One of my friend with SLK55 had simliar issues and he said he had to change bushings + some other parts..
I just hope it's not a very expensive fix..

I have this issue when the RPM drops close to 500... It goes away as soon as RPM goes up... Perhaps I should ask my mech to raise my idel rpm?
What's normal Idel range?
Thanks again!

Here you go, $75 buck per coil, $600 is still cheaper than $2000

Yeah, there you go. Looks like the C55 ones are a bit more than for my C350. Still not NEAR worth a $2k job. Also, you shouldn't have to replace all of them, just the one that's going bad.

Do you have headers and high flow cats?
If so, then check your flange/connection between the latter.
I just replaced my high flow 200 cell primary cats from VRP (after 3K miles... and no mfr warranty... that really gets me going) with Eurocharged (LET) high flow cats, and unfortunately the stainless steel flange is so thin that it separated from the VRP header flange thereby causing a rattle/shake at idle (in D) or under throttle similar to a broken motor mount.
I had the thin stainless replaced with 16 gauge steel replaced, since no issues.
Bottom line: $1,000 later - the problem is resolved. VRP (FEDOR) and EuroCharged TAKE NOTE!!!!
I have never had to pay for supplier issues with my M3 that were aftermarket!!!!
If so, then check your flange/connection between the latter.

1lop, thank you for the link!
E1000, I think he said all of em were going bad.. It's not a big issue jst yet but if I want to get rid of vib, he said i should change the entire system..I was there when he was using a laptop to test the car... Laptop screen showed cyl 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and each cyl were highlighted brifely one after other then it went away.......Mech said that's because of bad coils...
There were no error codes though..

it may be your trans mount. with the car in drive do you fill it the seat (butt)
if so the trans mount is bad. it is a ez fix if it is. a lot of people replace the motor mounts but forget about the trans mount.
