Side Mirror LED DIY replacement?

I have looked around here but could not find a DIY instructions on replacing the side mirror LED blinkers. Mine were broken and I bought a pair of '05 version and would like to install them.

Would like to know how to properly disassemble the side mirror housing and what tools I would need. DIY instruction with pics will be great.

TIA!

Thanks buddy! this will help. I have delayed this little project for a year now. Since we've been having cool weather down here lately, time for me to fix things in my car in the garage.

Anyone knows the OEM MB part code for the passenger side (Right) side mirror plastic housing?

Mine broke and I need to replace it. Any help is appreciated.

Inside the housing it says 203 810 02 64, but I'm missing the last 4 number for the right side mirror.

I'm thinking of ordering it online. Thanks

those last 4 number refer to the color-code of your car ...

you can put 9999 to have it in basepaint (no color) or the code referring to your car , if it is available in your color

grtz

Use the directions / pics on page 2 - they're more helpful. It's very simple when you get over your fear of breaking something when you pull the mirrors back - did mine a month ago - first one took 15 mins, second one 1 minute; even I can do it.

Actually, I did the install perfectly and without "fear". LOL You are right did not take long at all.

I cracked the passenger side mirror housing when I was pulling in my detachable garage in my apt. (another car was coming in and I was hurrying) a few months ago. At first I thought I completely broke the dang thing, I only ended up getting a crack on the housing but still want to replace it.
