Question modding c32 with high miles..

I've been browsing a bit, but havent been able to find the real answer Im looking for....

what is everyones thoughts about modding a high mileage c32?

say your car has 100k or 120k, do you guys think it is safe to go all out and run a 185mm pulley if you take all the proper precausions with the larger HE and IC pump and intake with a tune?

more boost= more strain on the engine, so will it still be as reliable and last?

Obviously it is probably better to do this to a car with low mileage, but what are your thoughts?

My power steering pump went out a few months after installing the 185MM. C32 had 90k miles on it. I think engine internals should be fine higher mileage, but coolant pump, steering pump, alternator, etc, might fail quicker with the 185MM...

you wont regret going to up to 185, the boost comes up really early and fast

i am at 989xx miles on my 32. honestly I would not want to go to a 185. i've had the 178mm for a long time tho.

I was talking about the water pump. Intercooler pump is referred to as an "air charge pump" I believe.
so 185 here i come!
I would highly recommend getting the Needswings pulley saver kit along with the 185MM. You don't want to fry that idler, and potentially cause major damage to the engine. Of course, you need to get the ECU tune also unless you can find a local dyno shop capable of tuning the Mercedes ECU. LET/Eurocharge has hours, and hours of work into their flash tune. Can't really beat the price for what you get... If you have any questions feel free to ask!
