a car that can't do the throttle reset.
"after start" inaccurate miles.

The "After Start" display that shows all the stats like mpg, miles, and time driven.

I drove the same route... SAME. No difference at all. In this specific instance it goes from 20 miles... then 22 another time... then 21. I know this is being ****, but shouldn't the mileage reading be dead on?

No, it will not always be the same. It takes into account many more variables then you would think. Remember it is a computer generated ESTIMATION.

What variables? Why would distance driven need to be estimated?

Wait... I miss read that one I thought he was stating distance to empty. I'll do some research on the exact function and get back to you.

if that was the case i would wonder if the same equation would apply to the odometer as well.

Very odd. That should all be linked to the odometer and speedo, I would think anyway. Do you have GPS? Do a short test of exactly 1 mile and see how they match up. If it matches, then slowly go up till you find a discrepancy.
The numbers you listed are all +/- 1 mile with 21 miles being the median. Is it rounding the numbers, or did you?

Yes I have GPS. I run the same course every time but the mileage on the "AFTER START" screen fluctuates. The odometer has increments of point zero to point nine... the after start does not.

Question...does the main ODO always read the same distance? Also what year is your car, there are a couple of different function descriptions for model year?

I gotta admit, I didn't check the odometer for exact mileage... I will though. Sorry.

My c32 is an 04.
