Does anybody knows the procedures for the M111 charger to be lubricated, it's too loud, I think it's something wrong inside. Is there any way to lubricate it without take it a part, just pure the oil somewhere, or the best way is to take a part?
Thank you

Maybe you should read this thread? I hardly consider removing a little plug bolt to be taking apart the supercharger. Not only that it's conveniently located on the front side with easy access.

Edit: Nevermind, overlooked the fact you mentioned the M111... I miss that engine still!

I had a C200K before, when i heard grinding sounds coming out of it, I knew it must have been the bearings inside. I had the whole unit rebuilt for about 500USD, an australian company. It can back looking like new, and much more quiet.

ok to recap, the oil that you used at the beginning of this thread was the wrong supercharger oil,in which was verified by Splinter (thanks bro :]) that we needed Mobil1 Jet oil II or the updated Jet Oil 254 for the M112K as well as the M113K engines.

Now, when you do this DIY, you put back the same amount if not a little more from what was sucked out off the supercharger correct?

damn, i came across this thread, and am i super glad i did! i want to get on this since i hit 90K not too long ago =] and still drives like a beast.

anybody else have some extra Mobil1 Jet oil theyre willing to sell?
PM me thanks!

Just fill it up until it starts to squirt out. Some people have jacked up the front of the car to get more in. I have an extra quart of it if you want it. $15 shipped. Or I guess I could sell you the amount that you would need for the job from the open can for the cost of shipping probably like $5.

a car that can't do the throttle reset.
I can't believe I missed this thread. We really should be doing this as preventative maintenance? Anyone not doing it? Any drawbacks?

I am as car handy as a blind turd... I gotta get it done at the dealer... but have my reservations about messing with the blower if its not needed. car runs perfect right now.

I just serviced my SC oil again after driving 25K km. Oil level/amount was the same as what i put in, so no oil loss what so ever. ( 12-15ml) i don't think there are any drawbacks in doing this. If you have over 80K miles,( which i think a lot of c32s are passed this mark by now) i'm pretty sure the oil inside is a lot less than what use to be. I'm just doing it because I like to keep everything running nicely with a big safety margin. It certainly is not required to change the oil that often, but the its just so easy to do it, so why not. I also replaced my clutch bearing along with it with about the same mileage.
I'm using Jet Oil 254 now as the Jet II are already out of stock.

cheers~

+1 I just changed my SC oil and it quite easy to do. I'm a software guy so if I can do it, anyone can. The oil was low in my SC as well and smelled horrible.

SC is running clean again

I used to have to service my XJR's supercharger and got my syringe from the local Veterinarian. They even gave it to me for free FWIT.

I am about to get a quart o mobile jet oil II from http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalo...ilJetOilII.php

Now my question for all you guys that changed your sc oil is whether you had any problems with the sc afterward or is everything still good? My supercharger takes a while to get going and i have some hesitation issues. It is not the ic pump cause I got a cm30 pump, new plugs and k&n filters. I hope that after i change the sc oil, it will be smoother.

I strong suggest you service it asap. for two reason.

1) The oil has gone bad

or

2) no more oil inside

In my case there was very little in not zero oil where i did my service

Thank the almighty that nothing was broken. Our needle bearings in the SC are very delicate and cannot be replaced.

I did this oil change like 4 time already. As always when working with your car, great care should be taken, e.g. do let any foreign objects get in to the sc hole. I found that using a syringe with a tube extension works perfectly.

Please report back on how many cc of oil you got out when sucking it out and also your mileage. cheers!

My C32 has almost 80k miles on it and I dont believe the sc has ever been serviced. Tanks for the response ml500 and i will report back for sure about what happened. I ordered the oil on Saturday, so it might be a few days until i get it. I ordered one quart so it should be enough. OF question for you, why did you already change the oil 4 times already and how long between changes?

Any chance you (or anybody else who has done this) has been having louder-than-usual whining from their engines? Almost like a normal SC whine but at idle. I think this could be my culprit.

BTW, the SC does not engage at idle, meaning the SC and the clutch are not coupled together. So at idle it should not be spinning the SC. Therefore the sound may come from another place. You can see if it is spinning the SC by looking behind the clutch mechanism.

cheers,

i been thinking about doing this for quite some time. i read through this thread twice. my car is getting close to 70k miles and i have one question before i do this. does the oil have to be filled till it comes out of the hole? i have already purchased the jet oil that was recommended to use. ill get the syringe soon. did anyone ever have any problems from doing this?

I replaced the sc oil with no problems or noises so far and it has been around few months. I filled enough oil until it started leaking out of the hole. Car is a little bit smoother now. To answer your question, I have had no strange noises except I think I got a sc pulley bearing going out.
